One thing not fully covered in the review is that with a hotter CPU (read: i7), the tighter fin spacing and larger fin area would most likely give it an advantage at say 20 dBA/1m w/ the stock fan -- against many of the competitors that do better with very low airflow. It is a model made for the cu...

it's true that many of the 4770 cards that are listed on the dutch price comparison site turn out to be 'on order' at the retailers. the gigabyte is available at a couple, so just picked that one. the power consumption was measured at a few sites and shouldn't cross 250 at boot. and that's conservat...

the Q8200 is very easy to OC to 7x400 =2800MHz, stock cooler doesn't have to go over 60% which is pretty quiet. imagine with a proper cooler.

You're willing to spend $300+ on a gfx-card that by default isn't future proof. Don't skimp on the psu, get one of the recommended list - perhaps the Corsair HX520 for a nice modular one, or any of the sub-600W models there. The PSU will last you twice as long as that gfx-card I agree with the poste...

that all depends on what you want to put next to that card, and how many slots there are on the board.
