No issues. I've had this in 3 different systems so far. 1) HTPC w/Athlon XP 2500+ cooled with a Zalman 3100 heatsink w/fan and for video a old passively cooled Nvidia Nforce4 440 video card and ATI 650 TV card. 2) AMD 3700+ system w/Scythe Ninja no fan and a BFG 8600GT w/Accelero S1. 3) AMD BE-2350 ...

Thanks Andy. I just opened up one of the spines and it's made a big difference. Idle and load temperatures dropped 5/10 deg. C. I need to experiment with this more. alleycat8675309, you will probably get better cooling results if you close up the vent next to the PCI-E/PCI slots and pop a few spines...

No special hardware. My case is an Antec P150. It was a fine line between over-tightening the 4 bolts or not having enough of a tight bond between the vga heatsink and the gpu chip. The board visibly *flexed* a little bit after screwing the bolts on. More of the same with the 2 black snap on connect...

Ditto. Had to get mine from the King George Hwy. location in Surrey as I couldn't find it in a few Vancouver locations a few months ago.

Yesterday there were 100 WD units available. All sold out right now. I'm sure there will be more available at that price in the future. NCIX probably sold more than 700 units of WD and Seagate 500GB hd this last week from their sale. They post a sale limit of 200 units lets say, and when they are so...

It is orderable, but still quite a bit more than the WD or Seagate 500GB. http://www.ncix.com/search/?q=samsung+500gb&minprice=Min.+Price&maxprice=Max.+Price Looks to me like you've got it backwards -- the Samsung at CA$140.45 is cheaper at NCIX than any 500GB drive from Seagate or WD by a BIG marg...

my general use PC has only one noisy component left, one of those small hsf's on my Radeon 9550. other than that the two 120mm nexus fans @7V and soft-mounted HDD's make a pretty silent system. My HTPC has a Radeon 9600xt. I replaced the heatsink & fan with a Zalman ZM-NB32K Northbridge Chipset Hea...

I am extremely satisfied on my daily use pc. That plan is now wrecked as I just purchased a BFG 8600GT card. The X1600pro with Zalman VF900 gpu heatsink was darn near silent but the 8600gt was a bargain. My HTPC is pretty quiet and I'm almost satisfied, but it may require some re-configuration of so...

See this thread: http://www.silentpcreview.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=30289 So you've been testing with everything plugged in? As some others have suggested, try plugging in another 1 or 2 fans. Otherwise buy a psu tester like this: http://www.startech.com/Product/ItemDetail.aspx?productid=PSUTEST20...

I have the "high" version used to cool a cpu heatsink in a Silverstone LC17 case. In the same case I have a Nexus 92mm fan to pull in air in the front of the case. I've under-volted the Nexus and it's dam quiet. Doesn't blow a whole lot of air but it's almost silent. At 12v the Nexus isn't as quiet ...

I recently purchased a Zen 400 for my HTPC in a Silverstone LC17 case. I've had it for 2 weeks and everything is working fine. No noise that I can hear from the psu not counting the other fans. Also I have a Antec Neo 430 that I've had for about a year now in a Antec P150 case. No problems and very ...

Enermax Liberty 400 or Antec NeoHE 430. FYI, the Antec Neo 430 that I got last year with my P150 case does not have a EPS12V connector (I think I'm thinking of the 8 pin connector). Later, when I got a Crossfire board for free, I found out that I needed that connector but the Neo 430 didn't include...
