I'll bite. What is a ducted intake from the outside directly to the PSU, and how would I set one up?

Actually, the fan won't be blowing into the PSU, it will be sucking air out. And I already ordered a 1600rpm S-flex and the 1200rpm slipstream. I will see which works best. I like the S-flex because of the very long MTBF. But the new Minebea series has an even longer MTBF and a 75cfm/31dB model: htt...

I had looked at the slip streams but I am partial to the S-flex fans. Would a slip stream push more air or be quieter than the s-flex? Maybe it would be a better idea because of the smaller diameter taken up by the motor compared to the s-flex, and more air would go through the adapter. Now I'm stuc...

I like the S-Flex fans, I use 3 of the 49cfm version of them on my PA120.3. The only thing with the 1600rpm version is that it's only 63cfm, and I worry if that will be enough to compensate for the adapter and still maintain ~50CFM. I also found a Yate Loon 70CFM 120mm fan rated at 33dB which looks ...

Well... what are some of the best 120mm fans that you do use here? Perhaps I could look at the higher up models of the ones that are used here. Is Papst good? I heard Panaflo/NMB has gone down in quality.

Look.... I like my system overclocked to the maximum. I'm not interested in getting it to be inaudible. It can make noise, just not insane ammounts of noise. My definition of insane and your [people on this forum] definition of insane is probably very different. I do agree though, 45dB is too much. ...

No, the video card is on water cooling as well, Swiftech MCW60 with PA120.3 and an MCP655. The stock voltage is 1.15v.

I can get one of those power cords with a 90 degree plug. My case is an NZXT Lexa. Actually I've already pushed the HX520 to it's limit. If I try to set the voltage on my 2900Pro to 1.4v, and I run the ATITool artifact scanner, the power supply over current protection is tripped after a few minutes ...

I don't have the power supply yet, but I want to get it. I have the HX520 right now, and yes I know how quiet they are. But they are not as high quality as the PCP&C, and have an MTBF of 100,000 hours at 25C. The PCP&C has 100,000 hour MTBF at 50C and 200,000 hour MTBF at 40c, and is extremely effic...

Hello, There is absolutely NO WAY that any desktop computer can come close to requiring a 690watt PSU!!! Not really, especially if you are using TEC cooling. The over clocked 2900Pro uses well over 300W, the CPU uses close to 200W, then factor in all the fans, the pump (I am on water coolin...

I see... what is the best and most quiet 120mm fan that will deliver 70cfm of airflow? With all my hardware, the eXtreme PSU calculator says I should have a ~690W power supply, and I was not able to account for my heavy video card overclocking in that calculator, and I happen to have the most power ...

Yes the stock fan would do it's job. I don't have the PSU yet, but I will be getting it. I've owned the Turbo-Cool 510 ASL previously which has the same fan, and it's no better than any of the 80mm fans listed here. It is variable, controlled by the PSU depending on temp, and it's max CFM is 52CFM @...

I need ideas here...

QUIETIEST 80mm fan with AT LEAST 50CFM?

I am in need of what sounds like an impossibility. I need the absolute best (quality, low noise, etc...) 80mm fan that pushes at LEAST 50cfm of air. No joke. It MUST be a single 80mm fan, please do not suggest something else, because it won't work. I know I'm not going to get something whisper quiet...

My case is an NZXT lexa, motherboard abit IP35-E with a C2D E6750 @ 3.2GHz with a scythe ninja. The layout is actually extremely similar to yours from the pic, except I don't have as many fans. I have one intake and one exhaust (both 120mm scythe s-flex 800rpm) fan for the case

What quiet 120mm fans do you guys put on your HR-03s??

So I thought that by putting a 120mm fan on my HR-03 which is being used with a heavily over clocked (820/1035) HD2900Pro I would be able to achieve the high volume of air AND very low noise compared to my current 45dB panaflo ultra high speed 68cfm 92mm fan. Well I tried with my current best (pushe...

Scythe 92mm PWN fan on Thermalright HR-03 R600?

Ok I really need a good fan for my 2900 Pro with the new Thermalright HR-03 R600 cooler. The 92mm nexus real silent (or quiet) fan is not cutting it, it simply can not push enough air. This fan has me intrigued: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16835185048 The fan on the 2900pro i...

Need 92mm fan for Thermalright HR-03 on Radeon HD2900XT....

Ok I just put a thermalright hr-03 on my radeon HD2900pro (which was overclocked faster than an XT), but unfortunately the fan I used was nowhere near strong enough. It was a Nexus Real Silent 92mm fan, pushing 27cfm of air at 19db. So I need one that pushes more air, and is still quiet. Does anybod...

Hey, I already have a VF700-Cu, and that is what I use! I did a search for vf700 fan mod but I could not find much. Basically, I use it on my 7800gt, which is factory overclocked to 490/1100.
