Re: Fractal Design Define R3 ATX Tower
Really? Because this is how Corsair says it is supposed to be mounted. Also: pulling cool(er) air from outside, blowing through the radiator inside the case and pulling hot air out on top. Isn't that ok then?

Re: Fractal Design Define R3 ATX Tower
Ok guys, some more advice needed to finetune my system. I've moved the fans around a bit, trying to get the best possible airflow/cooling. What I currently have is: * 1 x 120mm at top front, no fan at bottom front * 1 x 120mm at radiator sucking air in * 1 x 140mm at rear top, sucking air out I'm ou...

Re: Fractal Design Define R3 ATX Tower
Maybe I expected some kind of miracle :) Anyway, might give me some room for overclocking. I currently have a Fractal Design 1000rpm fan connected to the radiator, and while this is more or less silent (still can hear the pump over all my fans), it doesn't seem to be outputting a lot of air. The inc...

Re: Fractal Design Define R3 ATX Tower
So, I installed the Corsair H60 with the following airflow: * 140mm intake at bottom * 120mm intake at front * 120mm from the H60 at rear * GTX570 with Accelero cooling inside Idle temps from my Core i5 750 are now about 40°C, same for my GPU. When gaming, the GPU goes up to around 60°C (very good!)...

Re: Fractal Design Define R3 ATX Tower
Ok thanks for the info. Just got myself a Corsair H60 too, maybe this will help too to keep the warm components inside the case to a minimum. Going to move the top fan back to the bottom, then I have 1x140mm sucking air in at the bottom, 1x120mm sucking air in at the front (top one) and 1x120mm suck...

Re: Fractal Design Define R3 ATX Tower
I just installed a 140mm fan in the top of my R3 case (blowing air IN) but the fan noise is very annoying. This is not due to it being a loud fan (it is no, completely silent) but seems to be caused by the grill pattern at the top. When I place my hand over it (or a very thin paper handkerchief), it...

Which BluRay combo drive of these two?
I need a Bluray drive for my HTPC which also writes DVDs. My supplier suggested the following two models. My main concern is noise, they need to be as quiet as possible, I hate spinning disc sounds etc. So which one would be the best? SAMSUNG SH-B123L or LG CH10LS20 (also known as UH10LS20) Thx in a...

MSI 4870 512 + S1 rev2 : passive cooling possible?
I received some extra ramsinks today (nice service from Arctic Cooling) and am planning to finally put my S1 rev2 on my 4870 (hate the standard fan). My previous card, a 8800GT, was cooled passively with the S1. I'm wondering if I can do the same with my 4870 or is this out of the question? I got a ...

Coolermaster Extreme 550watt : noisy!?
I just installed this power supply in my Antec P182 and it's VERY loud. The fan keeps blowing at max speed, making my pc pretty loud. The Coolermaster website mentions a "intelligent fan control", but it seems the fan on my ps is alway at max speed.
