It could be that your psu fan and or cpu/case fans are nearly the same frequency, so they are creating some "beat" effect among the frequencies. Since the beats go away over time, either your cpu/case fan or psu fan is picking up speed (due to heat) so the frequencies become different enough so that...

yeah, 7600GT mounting is different than 7300GS

i'm guessing most of the low end cards, such as your 7300GS won't have any good aftermarket coolers, only those simple aluminum block+40mm fan contraptions...

does the S1 fit the 8800GT? I personally think the Accelero S1 may be too thin for lateral air movements across it...since it was built for air to blow vertically through it (up-down air movement vs. left-right, as from that yate loon). It could work, but at low fan speeds, which i'm guessing you ha...

p182 has: 1) water cooling holes at the back 2) about 1/2" more room behind the mobo panel for easier cable routing 3) some additional holes/spaces in the mobo panel itself (like 1 on top, 2 on side) for easier cable routing 4) some zip ties at the back for...better cable routing again 5) different ...

drilling holes in the fan's frame is A LOT easier and better than those rubber bands in the long haul

if you have a dremel, you can easily just cut off the closed flanges

a razor or exacto-knife could probably work as well...just it would take some more time/skill

you won't need the rear top fan and you could cut out the fan guard, but i'd put at least some metal grill on the outside...or stray fingers or cables might get chop suey'd

zalman vf-700 @5v or even 7v can be very quiet and cool a lot better than many passive coolers galaxy has it default on their 7300GT http://www.bit-tech.net/hardware/2006/09/07/Galaxy_7300_GT/1 if you want, you can get an all copper one, copper/aluminum, or all aluminum... i would get the half n' ha...

yeah, i believe you can use the thermalright bolt-thru on the infinity...

that same kit works on a ninja, so i wouldn't see why it can't on an infinity.

you might need some rubber/silicone washers though

i was pretty much looking for a laptop under 1k that was ~15"... so i had the dell vostro 1500, inspiron 1520, and hp dv6500t as my choices... the dv6500t looking by far the best, but it only had 8400GS graphics and cost about $200-300 more for similarly configured specs. well, i ordered already and...

vostro 1500 - how does this look?

ok, so i just ordered a vostro 1500 off dell's website. strangely, it had a $384 rebate, whereas the almost exact laptop, the inspiron 1520, did not have as good a discount... so anyhow, here's the configuration: intel core 2 duo T7100 (1.8 ghz, 800mhz fsb, 2 mb cache) 2 gb ram 667 mhz 120 gb 5400 r...

you probably only need one nexus for the rear back exhaust (skip the top rear), and one on the ninja

i would replace the stock scythe fan w/ a nexus

you probably won't need to cut out a 120mm fan intake if you already have some gaps in which air can get into your case (preferably in the front) since just one exhaust fan is ok...you'll create negative air pressure which naturally draws air in. corsair 450VX is good too...its basically a seasonic ...

Hmm, so i'm assuming you have a standard case w/ the psu located on top? The rear exhaust should blow air out back and yes, i would get a psu with a fan. i would get a default good, quiet psu, as modding the psu generally will violate the warranty and void it. Try a seasonic S12II 380 - i'm planning...

RE2 is more enterprised based, it has NCQ, higher MTBF, and some other features built for RAID setups, but honestly...if you run your computer normally, i don't think that long error recovery time and "dropping" out of the array means much to a normal user. what resolution do you have? if you stay with 1024x768, a 8500GT will be fine, but if you play at 1280x1024 and higher, i would consider a 8600GT. The jump from 8500GT to 8600GT is actually a relatively big difference - you double the stream processors from 16 to 32, DDR2 to DDR3, and higher clock s...
