Looks nice! Can the door still close with the fancontroller in it? I'm still looking for a good controller, but thought the door didn't close with this one (just like nearly all others). If it doesn't I might as well take my door off and fix some damping :) The door does close, but I had to adjust ...

By the way, here's a teaser picture from my current project....a silent CoolerMaster Cosmos 1000! I'll put together another thread on it in the coming weeks, hope you guys enjoy it. http://i259.photobucket.com/albums/hh299/abirdie4me/IMG_4262.jpg Well, it only took me 5 months to get around to post...

Haha nice job with the binder clip! The red interior of the case goes really nice with the 4870. :) Just wondering as its a bit hard to tell from the pic, is the S1 running passive on the 4870? Yep, running it passive...45 C idle, up to around 65 C after a couple hours of Crysis. The fan in the foa...

Pre-installation Cosmos 1000 build

I built this several months ago and took a few poor photos before assembly. I ripped the entire case apart, dremeled the hell out of it, painted it, and put it back together. I also painted the sides of the case red, but they turned out pretty bad (under desk, so not too noticeable to anyone but me)...

Nice Job!

Nice work! I only had 2 WD Raptors, so I suspended them like this: http://i259.photobucket.com/albums/hh299/abirdie4me/CosmosRaptors.jpg I made major mods to this case, wore out quite a few dremel blades! I cut out all the fan grill in the case, even the bottom intakes. You can see the scythe slipst...

Nice job! I did something similar a while back, you may want to take a look at my build post as you may want to soft mount your hard drives....

Sorry for the long delay in updating...

I got sick for 2 weeks, then went out of town for a couple weeks....life gets in the way sometimes. I'm having some trouble with this build related to the dreaded Vista Sleep issue, but otherwise things are pretty good. Here is what it looks like now... http://i259.photobucket.com/albums/hh299/abird...

Not sure, I'll be back home tomorrow and will try to run some tests. Neither drive is more than warm, they felt about the same temp as the drives in my main rig that were reading 32 C.

I already had the HR-03 and the 8800 GTS 320, the Accelero wasn't available when I bought that card. I don't like the HR-03, I just don't want to shell out for the Accelero since this is my wife's PC and she doesn't play games. <EDIT> I researched the Accelero and discovered it isn't compatible with...

Thanks guys. I'm out of town for the week, so I won't get to finish it up until the weekend. :( Here are the specs of the components that will go into the P182: Q6600 (will probably overclock to 3ghz) Tuniq Tower 120 (scythe 21F fan will replace stock Tuniq fan) Asus P5K Deluxe Motherboard Corsair 5...

A unique P182?

Long time lurker, first time poster. I'm working on my 3rd P180/182 build and I thought I would share some of my mods that I haven't seen anyone post before (I'm sure someone has done something similar, I just haven't seen it). Basically, I gutted the bottom section and created a simple bungee cord ...

You can remove the entire front of the P182 to get to the LED's, however it is a little tricky and requires you to remove both sides of the case to access the retaining clips. My ghetto mod was to put a strip of black electrical tape over the area where the light was coming from. Sorry, don't have a...

I've got a Coolermaster Aerogate II and it makes a couple of beeps when I start the PC. I put a bit of BluTack on the internal speaker and now it makes muted beeps which are much less annoying When the beeping starts, just push the round knob. I found this out on accident one day and it helped me k...
