Re: No luck cooling GTX 680 with Twin Turbo II

Thanks! Use the smaller spacers actually did the trick. I replaced the IC Diamond with AS5 for the time being, and it was idling at about 25C. Can't wait to apply a better TIM!

Re: No luck cooling GTX 680 with Twin Turbo II

How quickly does the temperature rise? If it's really quickly then that might point to a contact issue. If it's really slowly then it's about overall cooling. The temperature rises immediately. So in that case I should try the lower spacers? The Twin Turbo comes with two highs for spacers. The GTX ...

No luck cooling GTX 680 with Twin Turbo II

I have a GTX 680 (from eVGA), and I'm trying to cool it with the Twin Turbo II. I can get 35 degrees Celsius idle, but when I stress it either through eVGA's precision X or even just Windows rating thing, the temperatures climb to 98 degress and crashes. I'm using IC Diamond as the thermal paste and...

Screw Driver for Noctua NH-U12F

I lent out my screw driver a few times, now I can't seem to locate it. I contacted Noctua about it, and they said they'd be willing to send me a screw driver for free once, if I can produce the invoice. Problem is, I didn't keep the invoice, and I don't remember where I bought it. I've tried looking...

I too have this weird page 14. You have these two tests to test the two parts that affect how much noise a keyboard produces. The first test is for internal noise, the second test is more for a user to interface noise. I see that. What I don't understand is, how do you call a keyboard silent, if it...

For the Microsoft Natural 4k, the keyboard itself is very quiet, however while I type, since for some reason I dont' keep my fingers right on the keys, but have them hover over them by a few millimeters, my fingers strike down so hard that it produces sounds (at slightly above 100 wpm). Are you say...

Soo... I'm going to revive this thread to contribute my findings. To start things off, I will say people are quite incorrect, there is indeed a growing demand for quieter keyboards, and keyboards are being made quieter and quieter. Since 1998 or so, when I started getting into computers, I can't see...
