When you use an exhaust fan at the back of the P182, YOU HAVE TO block the top opening, else there will be a "air short" : your exhaust fan will draw air from there and not from your case.

hey guys quick update here. the motherboard or system temperature is indeed the NB temp (at least for gigabyte). Mine was high at 42C because the HR-05 wasnt properly fixed. Now it is lower at 34C. And if my fans run at 12V it goes lower. Btw Im getting the HR-05 IFX, simply for the better retention...

I have a P35-DS3L. I am not sure if there is a NB temp sensor. In the latest everest, I only have a value called "motherboard temperature". It is at 42C. I dont think it is the NB temp because I have a HR-05 SLI installed on the NB and it is not hot all, even at the base... So what is motherboard te...

I liked the idea of the tri-cool switches (Low-Medium-High settings) at the back of my P182 so I just modded the wiring so I can plug my 2 SlipStreams (or any other fans). It is a very simple circuit : all you need is 2 (1watt) resistors by fan. Soldering is an option, you can just tie the resistors...

Oh I see... I guess Im going to get the 1200s and run them at 800 or 500. When Im playing I'll use them at 12V. I have a P182, I will use 2 slipstream as exhaust at the back of the case and only use negative pressure to get air from the front grill. Is it a good solution? Thanks for the answers guys...

1200rpm or 1600 lowered to 1200

Basically I am going to buy the new Scythe Slip Stream 120mm and I want to know if a 1600rpm rated fan running at 1200 will have the same noise/airflow ratio as a basic 1200 rated fan. Im asking this because I'm an overclocker so sometimes when playing I would like to crank the case fans to the max ...

I was going to buy the Nexus 120mm, but the new Noctua fans seems interesting. If someone can compare those two post here.

I know there is two adapter coming with the Noctua fan for adjusting speed but can I just plug it on the motherboard with auto-speed control?

If your fan push air into the case, the pressure wont be instant, it will take a little time to build up and then air will go out of the case where you didnt put a fan. if your fan is right in front of your cpu or vga card it will be ok. but if your fan is on the other end of the case the fresh air ...

with positive pressure the cold air will blend into the hot air before going out of the case. with negative pressure you remove the hot air so the cold air can directly cool your components.

Guys, I really cant decide between Nexus and S-Flex 1200RPM, considering I can have them for about the same price.

Maybe I should buy both? The nexus for case fans (vertically) and the s-flex for cpu/gpu(horizontally) ??

The two front fans are gonna make less noise because they run SLOWER. By putting the fans next to dust filter and front panel grill, the fan has to work harder to move air. Thats why they are quieter. Heres what I did to solve this problem : http://img518.imageshack.us/my.php?image=antgr3.jpg BTW, I...

arghhhh SI-128SE or Ultima 90?????

SI128SE is shorter so less pressure on the mobo BUT it is heavier. And the fan goes at the bottom of the SI128SE so it might cancel his height advantage. So I guess I'll have the choose the better cooler... wich is..?
