Oh. o_O That's weird, I think I remember my m2a-vm running 1080p. I didn't even update the BIOS or anything. However, it's been a while since I used that particular computer as I sort of gave it away so I'm not so sure.

Yes. CCCP (a filter pack, includes just about everything) + CoreAVC (a really fast H.264 decoder) works wonders. 1080p shouldn't be a problem for the onboard X1250. I'm running an X2 5000+ though, and HD video consumes ridiculous amounts of CPU time. How's your CPU usage when you (try to) view 1080p?

The sensible choice would be the weird looking keyboard that Dell ships with their desktop systems. It has a wonderful feel, it's so sturdy I bet it'll last for ever, and it's still very quiet.
