Thanks. Pretty quiet in my humble opinion. Basically, I can't hear my rig running since it is placed ...

I'm really liking the "floating" temperature meter, I'm so gonna steal that idea when I have next project with a side window
Thanks and go ahead and implement my temp meter idea.

Re: Cool and "relatively" quiet Lian Li

It looks pretty... but kinda overkill cooling system don't ya think? And primary web-browsing... arghh.... could build something cheaper, quieter, better, but probably not as pretty... but then again... depends what you consider good-looking. Most of the components are inherited from my gaming rig....

Re: AMD fan control at Techreport

The inexpensive Biostar TA890GXE offers some kind of automated fan controller, though I'm not sure whether it is based on SB880.

I started with stock HSF, followed by third party coolers and watercooling. Its actually quite simple. Watercooling Pros - Better cooling performance (water conducts heat way better than air) - Lower noise - Unlimited upgradablility Cons - High cost - More complicated to set up - Higher maintenance ...

Bleeding air bubble out of my system at the moment. Temps to be confirmed, but GPU and VRM temps dropped by a whopping 18 and 26 degrees, respectively. South bridge decreased by 5c, but north bridge and CPU upped by around 1c. As for the noise level, the system is almost silent below my desk. Idle R...

Are you using standard 3-pin fans on the Chassis and Opt headers? And the board can automatically control fan speed with these fans? Phil As I hinted above, I'm using three Scythe S-FLEX E (1200rpm), which are 3 pin. I haven't tried any PWM fans on the CPU fan header. Q-Fan in the BIOS can automati...

You might be able to avoid the error message by setting 'CPU fan speed' to 'Ignore' in the BIOS. Thanks., but I'm pretty sure I tried that--I don't want to reboot right now to check, but I'm almost 100% positive I did. It also seemed the only way to ignore "CPU Fan Error" was to disable pausing for...

The top open frame 120mm was recently added to eliminate hot air pocket trapped on top of the casing. I see that it`s worth having the top fan then, actually I think it should be implemented on more cases like on many recent lian li's. You could still try to remove the intake fan, air will easily f...

That`s a very nice system :) The cable managment is neat, especially for a water cooled machine. At first glance it looks like you could loose a couple of fans, moving the rad at the back so it can double as an exhaust and letting the psu deal with the lower compartment. http://img.photobucket.com/...

Lian-Li's cost arm and leg and are pretty hard to make really silent... Solo would be good, but its still pretty heavy case. I have a Lian Li V1000 and it's pretty quiet if you use the right components. It's also relatively affordable in Asia, too. Check out my rig here -> http://www.silentpcreview...
