Re: Fan Roundup #6: Scythe, Noiseblocker, Antec, Nexus, Ther

Finally I get my fan roundup! Best 100 bucks I ever spent!

Didn't really get an answer to the question if 140mm is "worth it" tho. Maybe I'll have to donate some more.

Donate: 120 & 140mm fan round-up

Hi Mike! Sent you some money. Hopefully we can see some new fans in the future. One thing I would really want answered is if its better to use a 140mm fan, instead of a 120mm one. People say it has been proven that using a 140mm fan is of no use. I just don't trust anyone but you for this type of in...

Re: Serenity i7 Sandy Bridge PC, SPCR Edition, by Puget Comp

Anyone over in the US feel like ordering one of those fan covers for me, and then send it to Sweden?

Puget doesn't want to ship internationally and I would really like to have one of those covers.

For even quicker reference. You could always list if its a tower or a cube. I suppose one would easily see that on the dimensions... but maybe for some it would be nice.

Nice list. But I would list the dimensions in the same format.

So its always for example W * H * D

Now you mix different ways of writing it.

I personally like the case I have now, Lan-Gear's mITX( my build )case, but I was considering the SG-07. In the end, the Lan-Gear is cheaper even if it doesn't come with a PSU. Looks interesting... but the brand's products look difficult to buy. Not exactly well distributed. Well that case is only ...

Well if you do the vote/pay review thing... Im gonna donate some money. I just find it hard to donate money when I don't really know where it is going. Thats what I like about Anandtech. They go to the store and buy products. Problem is SPCR doesn't have enough money to start buying all these cases. Then again... if the readers get to choose what items are to be reviewed. Chances are higher that us readers will buy this item from Mike afterwards at...

Mike: How popular is SPCR with the producers of cases, fans etc...? They should pay you for testing. This portion is a bad idea, as it would give the appearance of favorable reviews being bought. The SPCR tests are transparent enough. Bribing wouldn't really work. Of course Mike could change the da...

Mike: How popular is SPCR with the producers of cases, fans etc...? They should pay you for testing. Im thinking they should also send you more cases and fans for testing. The fact is the business model surrounding online ads suck ass. A few years ago there was no such thing as an adblocker. A few years ago I wouldn't have said that the model sucks. It is also a fact that us geeks are far more prone to use an adblocker or other way to enhance or surfing experience, an...

I think its a great product. I like how many corporations build niche products like this nowadays instead of just going the "safe" way...

The only sad part is probably that many of these workaround products shouldnt have been needed in the first place.

You could always try to exchange some of those drives for new larger ones. Or maybe switch to SSDs that take up a lot less space.

A person that buys that board probably wants a good GFX-card and those wont fit in any good itx-chassis. Also, you probably want a good cooler for the CPU. And you cant fit a quiet one either...

It does make you think about a DIY-chassi tho.

When processors are made, they are all tested and then labeled after performande, so the better ones get to be i7 950 and so on... because they run cooler. Its these better ones ...
