@MikeC: why ISO 7779 and not ISO 9296? not that i'm that informed i just found this: http://www.silent.se/iso-7779.php ISO 7779, intended only for noise measurement, is often also used for noise declaration of information technology (IT) and telecommunications equipment. Those who do this leave out ...

@MikeC: maybe you should include some video power tests with OCCT and MSI Kombustor too, as FurMark is the primary "power virus" target for ATI drivers and that might bias the results.

I have made a habit of ripping all my cds (to flac, using Grip) and I'd hate to have artifacts in there. Any opinion/experience on that? he said his CD was at fault anyway, and he used Eas...

my notes on this board: -nice small fully featured -you can have others like it from ASRock and ECS :) -the cooler gets pretty hot :( -fan control is ONLY automatic, you can't limit it say like 50% max or something, but it can be by voltage or PWM -the BIOS can be updated if you unzip/unrar that EXE...

I have pretty similar build. I don't think it's your k8temp sensor. It's AMD chipset that "acts strangely". Try HWMonitor . I'm using it with XP, but I don't see why it wouldn't work with Linux. k8temp is a specific module that would work only in Linux, for now i blame him for this misreads HWMonit...
