:-) maybe they can; but I don't have too much time to google around; another point is that even if it is few tens cheaper then you have to pay post and packaging so it is not really cheaper if you have to order every item from different shop. I wanted everything from either same shop where I ordere...

On to your actual question.... as of now I've got an Enermax twister PWM fan on my heatsink. Real temp right now says my E8400 is at 32C. Seems pretty good to me and the fan is really quiet. I do have sitting on my desk a Noctua NF-P12 that I'm going to replace the Enermax with. Not really because ...

Well the S1 wont fit becuase of a side fan. I ordered the HR-03 GT with a scythe Kama-flex 92mm Low speed fan. I wanted to try out these newer FDB 92mm fans and see how they are. Ive read some good reviews on them so far. Can't you get a S1 and bend it? http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v221/AuraAl...

You will need to install new drivers drivers (particularly chipset drivers) as due to the differences in chipset architecture between them. All in all its not a bad thing as you just boot to safe mode, uninstall the chipset drivers and transfer the hdd across to the new board. then install the new ...

OLD CPU + NEW GFX
NEW CPU + OLD GFX
NEW CPU + NEW GFX
But i don't really know a whole lot about benchmarking.
What programs should i try and grab before i start testing?

I had one, I still use the heatsing a nd the fan from it too cool my hdd. If I remember correctly, it managed to cool Venice 3000+ without spinning fast, basically inaudible. When I switched to Manchester 3800+ and clocked it a bit, heat was too mch and the fan had to work on max rpm to cool it. So...

That wont work cause tower coolers get higher temps if they are in an horizontal position compared to vertical.Modo wrote:The tilting definately doesn't sound right. Have you tried running the PC on the side, so that the TRUE pushes itself onto the CPU? If the temps change, you'll know for sure what to do.

It'd probably be better to tell us the model number than to post a really tiny picture... :P But it's very easy to do a 5v mod to try and slow down the fan and find out how it will sound when run slower. But in general, I'd say you'd be better off going with one of the recommended 120mm fans on the...

Why does not direct touch HS look like this?
http://www.dtek.chalmers.se/~celion/heatsinkidea.jpg
lets call it a fatpipe, that is in contact with the entire cpu?
I just realise that making it wider towards the top might not be a good idea. But still, my main thought is exemplified here!

"One use for white noise is in the field of architectural acoustics. In order to dissemble distracting, undesirable noises in interior spaces, a low level of constant white noise is generated."
Could this be used to dissemble fan noise in any way?
