Mine run 24/7 4 drives range in temp from 29c to 34c with case inside temp at 24.1c with Media Center running and surfing, naturally in summer temps go up, but i will adjust the case fans to some extent to compensate for increase for temp increase. Drives are all WD Black Editions . P-182 case.

Speaking of store bought systems how about this one its a HP Media Center M8300f with a 6000+ CPU and an extra add on card a 8600GT CPU at idle is 60c with the video card running 77c with a tuner card right under the video card and this thing is like a furnace.

I made the 80mm fan hole big enough to fit a 120mm fan with a dust filter on it and my case MB temps stay around 32c with a 25c to 26c ambient room temp and put a filter on the lower side panel vent also this way I keep the dust out of case. I have a Zalman 9700 for cooling.

I have the same case with a P-5 945 at 3.4 MHz and I opened up the side fan to a 120mm tricool for some added cooling I love this case and I also have a P-180B and the P-182 GMB case both with C2D CPU and P5K motherboard , you did a nice mod.

In my P-180B I use the 1200rpm Scythe Sony fluid bearing fans and an 1600rpm rear exhaust by Scythe plus am try cool on modded side panel, plus a Noctua 1300rpm in top exhaust and an 80mm Noctuua in the bottom 2 optical drive slots intake also and this case run's nice and cool and quit with the use ...

I put a high cfm low noise 80mm fan in the 2 lower optical drive slots with some covers with mesh that I purchased of e-bay for dust control helps with ram and MB temps did it with my P-180B and my P-182 GMB case.

Lapped both, started with 800 than 1500 then 2000 grit and that was all there was to it. none that I had, but I would not of lapped, but lying a straight edge across the surface i found that the one side was off just a little bit compared to the right side.

Yes, I have problems with punctuation ,but this is not school and English class. My case is silent now with new front 80mm 34cfm Noctua fan and new 120mm top Noctua 54cfm fan. I have also replaced the Zalman 9500 with the X-1283, what a difference in temps and I will leave it at that for this discus...

First thing out of the box and check for straight and level heat sink mounting surface find that is is off by quite a bit on the one side so i am forced to do some lapping which came out rather good. I am not checking the air coming out of case but my ambient is 26.3c and the interior case temp is 26.9 and my motherboard is reading 36c which is about what it reads 10c difference if it 21c ambient its 31c mobo temps and the cpu is always running cool with the Zalman 9500 and according to Pc Probe...

I guess it would ruin the case I am just concerned with motherboard temps but what I have read everyone is more concerned with cpu temps well on a hot day my mobo will get up to 36c in the p-180 cae when others are reporting temps as high as 42c or even higher on the mobo so i do have a spare side p...

My 6750 run pretty much equal with a Zalman 9700 but my E8400 runs off by 3c to 4c between cores and my P-D945 run the same both cores maybe off by 1c but no more usuall so it varies and I had a 5000+BE and it was off between the cores also by 2-3c these thing bug me also like trying to keep my mobo...

Mine has a difference of anywhere from 4-5c but the higher core says its being used more but they run the same all the time and it says in realtemp that they are not stuck so i guess it something your live with the chip run cool and fast.

I looked at your mobo manual and its different than my P5k and i have mine just plugged into the Striker card but I have another P5k with a P-182 just plugged into the mobo header for sound and it works and its looks like yours different marking than the case. They should make all the audio standard...

I am always concerned with mobo temps because i usually have no problem with cpu temps what kind of mobo temps are you seing with your rig I try to keep mine below 34c which i have righ now with 23.6c ambient with 24.3ccase temps. cpu is always cool running 30c with TV tuner running and web page open.

I take the 4 pin connector from a cd rom drive and attach the wires to a small speaker and double side tape it to a place in the P-180 case so i have a BIOS beep speaker did this with three P-180 series case's.

Yes all the covers come with the case plus the metal ones also that can be reattched with case screws, I used it as a HTPC and used the Kama Bay instead of the lower 80mm and added the 120mm side instead of the stock 80mm side so ran all fans on low and it was quite and cool.

I have just took the lower two optical drive covers off and drilled 3/16 holes in the covers and put them back on to get more intake air flow and it lowered the mobo temps 2 degrees going to add a 80mm tri-cool in the slot under my two optical drives for more intake pressure which I think will keep ...
