Not so fast... there is something funny going on over at Stanford. Have a look at this. I believe that three or four teams in front of us have vanished from Stanford's stats pages (temporarily, one would hope).riff wrote:39th! yay!

Has anyone been able to use the feature tool with a SATA RAID Controller? When I boot up and try to use the tool, it doesn't see my drives. Sort of relevant: the IBM/Hitachi HD tool could not touch the AAM settings on my two PATA Cuda V's while they were connected to a RAID controller (it did recog...

Hmm not much info on the dorothy page, and not very professional looking page setup either. Would think twice before sending my money there, but if you have good experiences with it, I might consider it too. You paid with credit card through paypal? International orders have to be mailed in? Bought...

Has anyone experience with measuring temperatures of drives in a RAID array? I am running Win2k on a RAID-1 setup with two 120GB Barracuda V's. Windows recognizes the drives as a single RAID array. I have tried DTemp, SpeedFan and AIDA32 (MBM, too IIRC), but not one of them shows the drives' tempera...

I could possibly do a deal with somebody from england, the problem is my lack of a credit card. I live in Finland and have dealt with Dorothy. You can wire the money straight into her account. IIRC my bank (OKO) took a 6-7€ fee for this procedure, and it took 3-4 days for the money to show up in he...

TBred B is Revision 8 Stepping 1 (AFAIK - someone else may correct me) Hmm, this would suggest that my 1800+ might actually be a TBred B instead of the version A I thought I had. This is what Sandra tells me: Revision/Stepping 8 / 1 (0) Stepping Mask B0 Core Voltage Rating 1.650V The thing is that ...

Well, one thing I noticed was when no load was being put on the PSU, sometimes it made a slight buzzing sound which disappeared as soon as I connected a hard drive drawing about 1A on each 5v and 12v rails. Silently cooling a Radeon 8500/9100
I recently purchased a Radeon 9100 based graphics card. The card came with ATI's own (branded?) fan, the noise of which is now slowly but surely driving me insane. It is by far the biggest single source of noise in my computer, and I would very much like to get rid of it. I had a look at the Zalman ...
