Just a small typo, the power factor field for 250W says 9.52 instead of 0.952.

I just installed the Noctua on the exact same configuration, installed it with one fan in a antec P183. Idle is 26C and load is 41C with the two tricool fans running at low and the cpu fan at 1300rpm, ambient temperature around 20C. The installation was easy and the there is no flex at all after ins...

The alcohol is needed to dissolve the grease so that it can be removed, the alcohol creates micelles so that the grease can be remove along with the water. Pure alcohol would probably be able to dissolve the grease but it would likely evaporate before the grease is actually removed. [/url]

Looking good ;)

Is the rotation of the HR-01 the optimal position? I would have thought that the air flow was mainly front to back, so that the other position would be better.

I find it kinda fun to read people complain about high taxes and high VAT. The VAT in denmark is 25% on everything, and the minimal tax is around 40% while people with high incomes risk paying close to 60%.

In pure sound there is not much difference, I still does not hear the HDD (unless I put my ear down in front of the pc). But the PSU fan swap did one good thing, it removed a periodic (every 2-3 seconds) low frequency buss which I could only perceive when sitting at my desk.

The NSK2480 have a 80+ certified psu and thus have an efficiency of 80% or above from 20 to 100% load i.e. from around 76W of load.

I currently run my single HD suspended in the top 5.25" slot with temps ranging from 35 to 45C.

AMD cards should be able to output sound though the enclosed DVI->HDMI adapter.

I found the Thermalright at shg.dk they expect it to be available on the 15th if you can wait that long ;). You could also try to find it in Germany.

The German store also got the slipstream. Proshop.dk have 1200rpm version and midtdata.dk got the 800rpm version.

But I don't plan on running it a anywhere near that workload, i.e. no gaming or video encoding. And with that in mind the cooling is sufficient :)

I can't say anything about the quality of the output, I'm using composite to transfer the signal to my tv (I've got a crappy old tv).

Make sure that you get a HDMI adapter with the card, I've read that it's very hard to find a 3rd party DVI->HDMI adapter which supports the sound transfer.

I would simply buy a cheap GFX such as an AMD 3450/3470, I've got an 3470 which should be able to send both video and sound though the HDMI (haven't tested it since my tv does not have a HDMI input), and it runs nice and relatively cool in a setup similar to yours.
