Re: Sub $300 M-ATX MB/CPU/MEM/Video Recommendation

Thanks for links. I'll need some time to digest them. ITX is too small as I need room for a TV tuner card that I already have and would like the option of adding a dedicated video card if the need arises. I'd like to keep the cost as low as possible while keeping flexibility high. I tend to repurpo...

Re: Good but small cooler for Athlon X4?

I have used the Arctic 7 GT cooler on two different systems - Shuttle K45 (that Dad uses for his business with an e2200 processor) and isk300-65 (e5300/2gb ram/wd160x2 running Ubuntu 10.10). I purchased them because they worked well with the odd processor placement on the k45 mobo. These coolers are...

Makes the current crop of left-over/refurb Core2Duo machines look even more appealing with the lower price. Space is real tight in there  My initial though is a wide low profile HS/Fan combo from Scythe but I am out of date on the current models and performance. I would begin with a fan upgrade on the heatsink before anything else.

I have the ISK 300-65 and it is very small with limited space. It requires laptop optical and hard drives which I have found to be more expensive.

The other case looks to talk regular drives and has much more room to work with.

What is more important to you? Size? Cost?
