Re: Warning to all SPCR members: do not buy the WD10EALX

I'll just sell it to someone I think. Never any WD drives again for me. Samsungs and Seagates still work fine?

Re: Warning to all SPCR members: do not buy the WD10EALX

I can't manage to enable AAM on my new WD1002FAEX either. Have they gone completely mad removing it from all series of drives??

It won't be finished as nice as factory made though, unless you're some really serious hardcore modder...

If I can use the P182 as a reference, there will be no dust coming in from the top vent, since the fan is blowing air out of the case. The best solution for dust is filtered positive pressure. First eliminate the top fan and block the top opening, then add an intake fan, and another intake fan in a...

What is the point of the key lock on the front panel if the power and reset buttons are easily accessed through the vents? You spotted that well. I don't think there's a way to lock the side panels, so what's the lock needed for anyway? Most motherboards have a power and reset button on them nowada...

Got to agree here. This is by far the most beautiful of all Lian Li cases.

Re: GTX260 owners please respond, need some information

1+2. I have a EVGA GTX260 C216 55nm. Listed as 896-P3-1255-ER on their website. This is the vanilla version, no overclocked one. 3. My idle fan speed: the default speed at "Auto" is 40% (1300 rpm). I have, however, modded it to 30% with a bios flash. It runs at 900rpm now and is extremely silent. At...

Planning to run it with a passively cooled cpu, Corsair HX620, GTX260 55nm, and a SSD + 2x 1TB or 1x 2TB hdd. And some suitable casefans with a fan controller. Might end up with more hdd's than that though, which is the reason I want to know how much can be done with sound dampening. The best thing ...

I've edited my EVGA GTX260 C126 55nm's bios with NiBiTor to change the minimum fanspeed when it's on "auto" to 30% rather than 40%. It's VERY silent now, without the use of silly programs like rivatuner or anything. Idle temp stays around 50 degrees C. Load temp is still 83 max like before. (the fan...

Lian Li PC-B25B, who's got it?

This case has come to my attention recently (despite the fact that it's been out there for a while already) and seems like a really nice choice for making a silent system. I've got a few questions about it: 1. The side panels are hollow on the inside, and apparently can be opened up by just a bunch ...
