Re: Seasonic Platinum Fanless 520W PSU
I just got a Seasonic 400w Platinum fanless (SS-400FL2), and there is a small amount of buzzing/electrical noise when the power supply is plugged in (but computer off). However when I turn the computer on, the buzzing seems to go away, and it becomes silent. But when I turn the computer off, it star...

Best NB air cooler
I have a Gigabyte GA-MA78GM-S2H motherboard, and I'd like to replace the stock northbridge cooler with an aftermarket NB cooler. motherboard: http://www.gigabyte.com.tw/Products/...ProductID=2758 I think I've narrowed my choices to either the Xigmatek PTR-CN881 Porter, or the Thermalright HR-05 IFX:...

Mouse with quiet clicks
I'm trying to find a mouse that is silent or nearly silent when the buttons are clicked. I read through the stickied thread in this forum about quiet mice and keyboards, but it didn't help much in narrowing down my choice. My first choice would be the Quietsmooth USB mouse from quietmouse.com, but i...

Koolance 120x38mm fan (FAN-12038HBK)
I was looking at this Koolance fan, and it's listed specs are close to the Sanyo Denki fans (116cfm, 39db, 2600rpm, 6.3mmH20 pressure). http://www.koolance.com/water-coolin...product_id=686 http://www.petrastechshop.com/12x38sadesan.html Has anyone ever used this Koolance fan, and how does it compar...

Cooler Master or Scythe s-flex fan
I'm trying to decide on a fan to use as a top exhaust, and I think I may have narrowed my choices to either a Scythe s-flex or this Cooler Master fan: Cooler Master Y720CCD-25K1-GP: http://www.frozencpu.com/products/6941/fan-404/Cooler_Master_120x25mm_Dual_Ball_Silent_Fan_Y720CCD-25K1-GP_-_1096CFM.h...

Re: Corsair VX450 PSU with Bottom-mounted PSU case
PSU fan blows downwards, and the exhaust blows outwards. PSU fans never blow down. PSUs with bottom mounted fans blow up into the center of the PSU and then the air exits to the rear. In a case where the PSU is bottom-mounted, the PSU fan would be blowing air downwards into the PSU. I'm trying to f...

do you mean is there a problem with negative pressure, where the fans in the case are blowing air out of the case is greater than the air being brought in? short answer is no. It's not a concern with the positive or negative pressure. I was wondering if the combination of a PSU that blows air down, ...

Corsair VX450 PSU with Bottom-mounted PSU case
I have a Corsair VX450 PSU, and I'm looking to buy a new mid-tower case. This PSU has a 120mm fan on the bottom, and I was wondering if this would create a problem with airflow if I put it in a case where the PSU is bottom-mounted. The fan on my heatsink (OCZ vendetta) blows air upwards, and the exh...
