Thanks for the welcome guys and advice. I'll try some artic silver and a 80mm fan clipped on first to see how it goes. A spcr recommended 80mm fan can't be louder than the retail heatsink. If the clip doesn't work I'll look into the zalman FB123. Thanks again for the advice.

I had a question about an old Slot 1 P3 1Ghz that I had. Right now it is running an old ABIT motherboard. The computer runs fine, except for the crazy loud and whiny retail heatsink for the P3.
