Re: Antec Mini P180 w/ Be-Quiet PSU, Scythe ...
Liking you build very simple, low tdp cpu, big heat sink and a massive slow fan, best way to make a silent pc imo. I have always had a soft spot for that case, but i got in to water cooling before I got in to silent pcs, so my desktop has a bigger case with a massive radiator, If i was doing a new b...

nice build, how a personal server should be :) in a case this size, i would be so tempted to pack it full of 2tb drives, but dont think you have enough sata ports . you said you store in the cupboard, so there isnt really much point in getting a nice looking case then hide it out of sight. what serv...

That old Panaflo fan is really good. Fluid bearings, Panaflo makes the best 80mm fans I have ever used. Haven't had any experience with their 60mm fans but I assume they are good as well. So unless it's worn out, don't throw it away. :) Small blade area = high pressure which can be useful in a smal...

Where WCing comes into its own, is when you want to OC and/or run very hot components, and still have some quiet. WCing also allows you to put the noisy components elsewhere (ie you could stick the pump and radiator outside your window, or in a closet, or another room or whatever, and just run the ...

mark19891989, I like that case, it gives you some extra height to put stuff in and extra room for airflow.. Good choice. Davideo 2006 thanks, sorry about the very late reply, not checked this site in a while . i was impresed with the case considering it only cost about £35, since the pics, i have ...

Not sure what your goals are but if you're doing push-pull, why bother with 38mm fans? They are always noisier. I'd stay with 120x25. There will be enough pressure, your radiator is only 35mm thick. I agree the price difference is huge and I doubt the noise/performance difference justifies it -- if...

I have been working out some prices for 6 fans in push | pull config price is for the 6 fans, + screws and any connectors if needed YL £42.87 + postage GT 1460 £76.08 + postage to me the price difference is huge, for just fans, right now in my cooling setup, i think the fans are the weakest point,...

How about the good old zotac 9300itx? I remember reading that the second revision can undervolt and most importantly has support for "wake up on usb". A dual core i5 or a quad core c2? There is not much between them in terms of power consumption/ speed so why not go with the cheaper solution. i hav...

i just opened it up, the fans are 2 pin 12v 60mmx25 No current rating on the label? "12VDC 0. ## A"? 60x25 is pretty common. Akasa has one : 12V, 0.06A, 2300 RPM ... not sure how "ultra quiet" it will be. Scan lists it . How do they connect? Are they hard-wired? If you have to do some cutting to re...

if a 60mm fan can fit, are there and specific models that you lot would recommend? I don't have any brand allegiance. I usually just look at the amp rating on the fan hubs. Usually, lower A = slower RPM within a size range. But this sort of examination is really only possible if you're shopping phy...

1U is 1.75 inches which is about 44mm. So you'll be looking for 40mm fans. There aren't too many quiet 40mm fans out there, but you might try the Scythe Mini Kaze or this Antec 40mm . But I think super stack 3300 is bigger than 1U. The tech specs here say it's 3 inches high. That's an odd height, n...

Sweet! Lucky the one in your build doesn't have the window on the one side huh? I'm not too fond of gamer looking cases....I like things to be very simple. Oh yeah definitely it probably would add some extra load, I think even with the extra ram stick, I'm shooting for 15w, but even if I'm at 20-21...
