not withing a closed system, using an open system you could use evaporation to pull the water through the system, but within a closed system the water simply wouldn't flow, as the water would not know which way around the system to flow. Best bet is to get a quite pump, but with such a low TDP cpu, ...

From my experience, it is a definite yes. as time goes by things will wear down, and they will get noisy. Moving the hdd's around alot like in a laptop while its on dosent help either. my seagate 320Gb hdd is now by far the loudest part in my rig now, annoying but it's there to serve as my programs ...

u can always use a zalam fan mate :D if it's a molex plug then u can get a converter so it can fit onto a zalman fan mate ^^ also you can mount 120 rads in the top exhaust fans, should be enough for the GTX260 if you put the rad in between the cpu and gpu water blocks :) id def consider putting the ...

Hi I'm using an Acer d250, if you really want totally silence i would AVOID this one there is no control over the fan, though it is temperature controlled and starts off completely passive until a critical temp is hit then fan turns on takes around 30mins - 1 hour. There are some passive netbookts o...

nice rig :) im running a wc p182 as well :) you though about having the rad outside the case ? Also dont think u need to have the top fan in the case on at all since ur cpu dosent need much air flow :) just block it off so you only have 2 fans in the upper chamber. if your flow rate is too high you ...

I am currently writing mine too, though my topic is computer graphics :P A good idea would be to brake down the topics, as silent work stations is a large area. What cpu are you running? looks like integrated graphics as well?

Try replacing your stock cooler, for something a bit beefier for better temps and noise :)

Also cable management is very important if you care about airflow / turbulence inside your case :)

you can always mod it :D so in effect take out the pump from the reserator and use a 3rd party pump, housed within the case that ran on the 12V psu. I was planning to do this but instead got a zalman xt instead. Another option is to go for the invotek passive radiators http://www.highspeedpc.com/Mer...

I did run the cpu at 3Ghz simply pushing up the FSB but resulted in temps that I think are too high specially when running at 100% load at periods over 10 hours hit around 70C as i can remember on cpu and 65 ish on gpu. 2.4Ghz is enough for me :)

Well you CAN mix the wb materials, isnt really advised but if you use a corrosion inhibitor, you can prevent the corrosion. If you planned to water cool all the main parts ie cpu / gpu / hdds then a single 120 rad is not gona cut it, you need a single 120 rad just for the i7 if you plan to run it with any sort of quite fan.
