Re: antec isk-100: mini-itx, 90w, 2x2.5", 248x212x108mm
looking forward to the review, i'm particularly interested in the efficiency of the psu- pico like psus aren't readily available around here. btw, dimensions without the stand are 220x210x70mm, not including the fan bulge. JonnyGuru recently reviewed a few pico PSU/brick combinations http://www.jon...

Re: Zotac IONITX-P-E CULV Motherboard
Will it fit into the ISK-100 you guys are testing? Do you mean the ISK-100 we already tested? Why not? It's a mini-ITX board. The ISK-100 fits them all; it's only heatsink height that's restrictive, and the one on this board is not tall. Eh? I see a review for the ISK 300-65, but in another thread,...

Re: antec isk-100: mini-itx, 90w, 2x2.5", 248x212x108mm
There's no provision for an optical drive for the ISK-100, so that probably won't be a problem. Have you ever heard any external unit, how loud it can "fly"? Or are you talking about never access any optical media? Well, the previous post mentioned accessing the DVD drive. I was pointing out that t...

Re: antec isk-100: mini-itx, 90w, 2x2.5", 248x212x108mm
The downside of these v small cases is that they inevitably end up closer to the user due to the need to access the controls/dvd unit. e.g. on the desk next to/behind the VDU. So any noise at all is apparent. I've managed to get a very quiet ITX system in a LianLi Q07 case that sits on top of anoth...

Admittedly, it's on sale right now for $39.99speedkar9 wrote:For the same price, get an Antec 300, paint it white and turn it on its side IMO.
I'm just wondering if that's going to be the last of the beige cases I see for retail sale new. Black is the new beige.

Compucase 7106 ATX
I have no idea why I'm so tempted to get one of these. Maybe it's the thought that black is the new beige. I've got an E8400 in an Antec Sonata, an Athlon x64 7750 in some generic midtower, a P4 server in a classic beige midtower, and an old Athlon being parted out in a generic beige box with grey t...

The CPU placement is problematic for cooling. I have the older A-E in a Silverstone Sugo SG05, and the presence of the HD5770 causes core temp during Prime95 to go form about 65/60 up to 75 and up (it hit 80 before I cleaned up the cabling slightly stopped gaping long enough to stop the test). Disab...

What cooler are you using on the i3? stock cooler. There isn't much clearance, and the mobo cables criss-cross the area. I've found the problem though. It's the physical presence of the video card. The board layout is nearly identical to this http://www.silentpcreview.com/article1064-page2.html , a...

Got it running, but I noticed the CPU doesn't seem to be getting enough air. With a 5770 and i3 530, running Prim95 drives my cores up to 80/75 (when I stopped gaping long enough to shut down Prime95) I've replaced the original fan with a Yate Loon, and it clearly wasn't anywhere this hot with the c...

Hey, does anyone know where to find a molex or SATA to slimline SATA power adapter? The Sony drive requires a 6-pin SATA power connector, and neither it, nor the case came with one or an adaptor. I see only a couple on NCIX, and both include a data cable as well. Are there any purely power adapters ...

Forget the 450W thing. Those numbers count with the fact that you have shitty 450W PSU - read 450W peak, 350W real, but with so bad voltage/current distribution (for example 2x12V/13A), that you can compare them to 250-300W good PSU's. My i5+HD5870 setup has a 350W peak power usage, i don't see how...
