I like the look of hardware. I used to collect circuit boards as a kid. Just thought they looked cool. I'm not a big fan of LEDs but i love my cathode lights. Have some installed behind the mesh on the front and it glows blue.

I was gonna buy a pre-installed window case. I like the acrylic idea. Think i'll do that. I could get clear blue acrylic as well and that'd make it look even better.

Would a case with dampening panels be much quieter than a case with a window and dampening panels fitted on the metal parts? I want a quiet system but i also like being able to see my hardware. It just looks so much cooler.

That's a fair point that other components on the motherboard will run at higher temperatures. Most reviews only look at the temperatures of the CPU when reviewing a cooler.
