which would be better for games?

an Intel i5 760 or an AMD Phenom II x6 1055t?

currently, i am only gaming, but i might have to start running physics simulations.

also, i would like it to last about 2 or 3 years

from some of the reviews i've seen, the Asus DirectCu aftermarket coolers seem to work quite well in terms of cooling and volume
