Noctua shows off noise-cancelling PC fan prototype

Noctua shows off noise-cancelling PC fan prototype There are plenty of PC hardware components on display here at Computex Taipei, but Noctua is demonstrating a fan with integrated active noise-cancellation, a curio too novel to pass up. The technology was developed by Rotosub, and consists of a mic...

Sorry if this has been mentioned. I came across the Antec Stanza on this site. Looks like an updated version of the NSK2480.

I agree, a bit too big for me. Too many external bays. Will there be a smaller version?

They never said they will be cheap:

"Currently, we don’t have any cases for sale, but when we have cases for sale, it will be announced here, and it will not be cheap."

At any rate, MikeC already ran both HS through their paces and the CU kicked the AlCu to the curb. His methodology is the best I've seen, since he tests each HS with the same fan at 3 voltages. The results are much more reliable. Mike reviewed the 6500's not the 7000's that T ter Berg is refering to.

He said he tested it in Dolby Labs sound chamber, three engineers were in the room with him and they found it hard to hear anything. The interestin...
