Re: SSD RAID
I called Mushkin Tech Support, they are very reliable and helpful. The gentleman on the phone told me I had to initialize the new drive in windows. I did that, and it worked. Now my windows reads my 2nd SSD as an E drive, which is what I intended. Thank you for any potential answers/help for this qu...

Re: SSD RAID
So long as you don't mind the 2nd SSD drive being the D drive (or next drive letter available), then it should be no problem to just hook it up without any RAID (I would not recommend RAID in your case). I followed your procedure, however, windows does not recognize the 2nd SSD. My bios detects the...

2 SSD
I have 2 SSD. My 2nd SSD arrived today, and I connected it to my PC. The bios reads the 2nd SSD, no problem. I don't want to run raid, I just want windows to read them separately (like a C drive, and an E drive). I want to use my 2nd SSD just to store my media files. When I boot into windows, I only...

Freezing/Blue Screen
Hello My computer is 2 months old (I built it), it ran fine up until this morning. My build is the following: i7-2600 GTX 580 16 GB Ram Windows 7 64 Bit Home Premium Seasonic X650 Two (2) Mushkin 120GB SSD Raid 0 (240 GB) Suddenly this morning, it keeps freezing (locking up), and it's usually follow...

SSD RAID
I'm not very knowledgeable on RAID, or using two SSD's. Currently, I have 1 SSD with my operating system installed on it, and everything. I want to add a 2nd SSD for more space. Does this mean I have to run the two SSD in RAID 0? Will Windows 7 recognize the two SSD as one drive, or will it recogniz...

Re: Does the i7 3820 support PCIe 3.0?
I called Intel twice. The first agent said it does not support 3.0. I called back a second time just for confirmation, and the second agent said it does support 3.0.
This is frustrating, as I'm getting conflicting reports from everywhere, and even from Intel reps.

mkk, are you certain? I'm not saying you're wrong, it's possible you're right. However, I'm getting conflicting reports. I've found some sources that claim that the i7 3820 supports PCI-E 3.0 http://www.guru3d.com/news/core-i7-3820-processor-review/ and http://www.anandtech.com/show/5537/intel-relea...

In Memory of My Eternal Angel Zacharie
I'm relatively new here, and I enjoy learning, and discovering about PCs - a hobby. However, like you all, I have a personal life, and with it comes its ups, and downs... Angel was a lop, who passed away yesterday late-afternoon on December 3, 2011. I had given her some pellets, and she ran to me wi...

Re: Is this a good build?
Well I don't think fanless is pointless in all cases. However, fanless is pointless if your primary goal is to build for power. I've realized yesterday, that it is impossible to have both fanless, and the most power, all in one. I've taken a step back, and realized that I'm building this for gaming,...

Re: Is this a good build?
Abula, I must ask a question. If I put a GTX 580, will I need more than 500W? Will the Kingwin 500W fanless PSU be sufficient enough for the GTX 580? http://www.newegg.ca/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817121083 Or should I go with the X660 such as you. I suppose the GTX 580 you have is louder than...

Re: Is this a good build?
I too must concur that the Lian Li's texture is superb, however, the case(s) are not deep enough to fit a HR-02. I saw the Antec Solo II, I don't like the finish at all. I much prefer the Silverstone. If Noctua, or any other company makes a 180mm silent fan, that would be ideal, but I don't know of ...

Re: Is this a good build?
Abula , what I may do is opt for the Silverstone, remove the front 180mm fan (which you say is noisy), and add a silent Noctua 120mm in the rear. Either, the NF-S12B http://www.newegg.ca/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16835608009 or, the NF-P12-1300 http://www.newegg.ca/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82...

Re: Lian Li A10 | i7 2600K | GTX570 build
I have a question, or two, as I want to make a similar build to your's.
How's the material/construction of the case. I went to go look at cases yesterday, and much prefer the quality of the Lian Li opposed to Antec.
Please post more pictures, I'd love to see some.

Big Things in Small Packages
Firstly, thanks in advance to those who give me advice. On to the questions... Do you think the following build would be wise? Is it too small? Does smaller the case mean more heat? I've done my research, and people have managed to fit a full size GPU in this Mini-ITX case by Silverstone, the Sugo s...

Re: Best passive cooling for i7 2600K non overclocked
Thank you for your valuable insight.
Can you confirm whether the HR-01 is compatible with socket 1155?
If not, I'll go HR-02.
I live in North America, and unfortunately it doesn't seem that the CR-100A is sold here.

Re: Is this a goodl build?
Abula that is a nice build. I may go the same direction you went, except I'm going to passively cool my CPU. Also, going passive PSU Kingwin 500W fanless. That GTX 580 looks awesome with the Accelero kit. I'm not sure what case I'm going for though, that Silverstone looks nice, or I will wait for th...

So far, I only know of two.
Thermalright HR-02.
Prolimatech Megahalems Rev.B.
Which of the of the two are better?
Or, is there an alternative to both of them?

Re: Is this a goodl build?
Thanks.
I definitely will consider doing a passive on the 2600K. I don't see an increase in terms of cooling when its fan vs passive, when the CPU is at stock speeds. Might as well go passive.
Couldn't find his post on that page though. It redirected me to some guy with a corsair liquid cool.
