Re: Small Footprint Silent Lab PC

Should we expect to see any more articles?

It has been almost 4 months, and no explanation as to why no news. If there were a reason, we could understand.

Another site I enjoyed reading vanished not long ago, and I'd be sad to see this one go.

Re: Seagate's 10TB HDDs

No articles for a month and a half, and all we get is a press release?

That's disappointing.

Re: Enermax Liqtech 120X AIO Liquid CPU Cooler

I would have been interested to hear what the results might have been had the surface of the heat block been lapped to make better contact with the CPU.

I guess you can't really do things like that to a cooler on loan, but it might have made a difference to the numbers.

Re: Fractal Design Node 304 Mini-ITX Case

I built a light use system (web/email/office) in a Node 304. Used the on-board video with an i3 2120 (cooled with a simple Noctua L9i) on an ASUS motherboard. I removed the front fans, and set the back fan to run quietly from a motherboard header. This machine works perfectly for what I wanted, and ...

Re: Noctua NH-U12S Slim Tower Heatsink

However as the 775 and 1366 sockets are obsolete LGA775 was basically completely obsolete already two years ago and similarly Sandy Bridge E also made LGA1366 and its Nehalems old tech. So nitpicking on dropping support of these ancient sockets just shows lack of better arguments. And that comes fr...

Re: Noctua NH-U12S Slim Tower Heatsink

I'll be interested to hear what the review team think of the U12S's big brother, the U14S. I have just used one in a Haswell build, and I ended up choosing to mount it 90 degrees from the usual orientation because I was concerned about it overlapping the first PCIe slot on a MicroATX board. It is bl...

Re: Fractal Design Define Mini MicroATX Tower

I built a system in a Define Mini about a month ago. I used an ASUS motherboard - Maximus IV Gene Z. The main video slot is in the right place, and it has a USB3 socket. This motherboard in this case works well. It's really easy to organise cabling in this case - plenty of room behind the motherboar...
