Re: Brix Pro in an Akasa Euler semi-fanless case
Excellent, look forward to seeing what you come up with. If you have access to a CNC mill, that's definitely the way to go. However, you should double-check my measurements, as I ended up having to relocate one of the the heatsink holes slightly, either because the measurement was wrong or because I...

Re: Brix Pro in an Akasa Euler semi-fanless case
The stock thermal paste seemed fine, although I replaced it with Arctic Silver 5 after the second or third disassembly. The type of paste is probably not as important as making sure it's evenly distributed in a thin layer, especially because the 4770R has a small contact area compared to standard de...

Re: Brix Pro in an Akasa Euler semi-fanless case
I'm considering building a custom case for it. But how big of a heatsink do i need to add to get lower temps? I want to hit max 80C I did some testing without a case installed, with the Noctua fan just laying on the heatsink pushing air into the heatsink, and that gave me temps at max 75-80 in Dota...

Re: Brix Pro in an Akasa Euler semi-fanless case
Yep, it's kind of odd to see the SFF board in such a large case, but I prefer to think of it as a big heatsink that happens to also hold a computer. :) At the moment, this seems to be the best-performing CPU and iGPU combination available, even better than any of the ITX options. However, maybe that...

Brix Pro in an Akasa Euler semi-fanless case
I've hacked together other projects over the years, but never really got around to posting them. However, I decided to do a quick writeup for this project as there seems to have been some interest here and on another forum, but nobody has posted any results yet. The Gigabyte Brix Pro has been review...

Re: Gigabyte BRIX Pro SFF Powerhouse
You guys aren't the only ones... I would love something like this with a big heatsink. Gigabyte did a nice job on the Brix Pro right up to the cooling solution, and then it's like they just slapped on an under-sized heatsink and fan and figured it was good. The tricky part seems to be creating some ...

Re: Akasa Euler Fanless case
Can somebody please check if the PCH in their system is around the same??? I know this thread is kind of old, but maybe this will be helpful. I actually am using a DH61AG motherboard, but had the same problem with my PCH temperature getting really high even at idle, like mid-80s. I removed the PCH ...

WTS: Supermicro SC-750 full tower ATX case - NoCal
Hi folks, I have an old SC-750 case that I need to get rid of. It's super solid and rigged for silent running with soundproofing and 120mm fans. I'll offer it for free to an SPCR member who can pick it up locally in northern california, possibly minus the optical drive and PSU. http://sfbay.craigsli...

Nice build. You can always tell who has a cat because at a certain point they start showing up in the pictures like they suddenly realized something exciting was happening.
