I bought a WD Red 4tb and a Seagate NAS HDD 4tb.

I'm not gonna give you any measures as I'm too lazy...

BUT

WD Red gets hotter and noisier than the seagate nas hdd.

So returned the red and bought 6 seagate nad hdd 4tb.

What fan speeds are you running? If they're PWM I'm guessing they're thermally controlled so what RPM do you get under load and idle? Any further work you might do with fans? The fan speeds go from 400 (Dead silent) to 700 (Dead Silent). It's waiting for the 6 3Tb Red WD drives and it will be done....
