Re: 0 db gaming rig achieved

Hello!

Very nice rig, what are the temps? I understand, that during gaming the gpu fan goes into high rpm and You're wearing headphones so You can't hear it? If You play very little, wouldn't it be better if You just use the integrated graphics from CPU?

Re: Silent Rackmount PC Build

Hello

Very nice project, i like rack mounted pcs myself ;) One question - do You really need two optical drives and a floppy drive? do You use them or is it just a case of option-proofing because You make Your own case?

Very, very nice build.

Isn't the mounting under the desk affecting the temperatures?

TX150 S2 rig and BEYOND! :) (UP May 31)

Hello. After long battles and many years of searching I've finally found my dream setup: TX150 S2 case + APC 700 RM 3U UPS + Ikea LackRack :) System is dead silent, only UPS humms a little during baterry operation. Don't mind the cables, I'm not a ultra-hidden-cables type of guy. http://images48.fot...

Re: Are APC rack mount UPSs quiet enough?

Hello there At last, i was able to make my rack APC silent. The 2 main sources of sound in those UPSs is the transformer and the top case panel (magnetic vibration). The transformer was put on dampening heat-resistant rubber ( about 3 mm height ) and the top case panel was replaced with a sheet of p...

I have APC Smart-UPS 700VA Rack 3U 230V - during the battery operation there is a little war inside  but even when on mains the ups humms at around 40dBa and 50hz - measured. Because my PC is dead silent during the operation i will try to dampen the UPS also. I'll post the results in a couple o...
