Re: Will picoPSU handle my rig? Any other fanless low watt P
I'm running an AMD 5800k (100 watt TDP, less w/ GPU disabled) and a 750 Ti (60 watts) on a 160 watt PicoPSU + 192 watt brick. Been chugging along fine for the past 3 months, and before that fine with a HD 7750 for a year and a half, with me gaming on it regularly.
So I'd say you're fine.

Re: Single front fan - thoughts
I suggest trying option 4. The air is quite turbulent coming off of the fan blades. A duct the width of your roll of duct tape will allow the turbulence to moderate before hitting the grill. Hm interesting. I thought it wouldn't have enough pressure to push air out through the restrictive front gri...

Single front fan - thoughts
Hey guys, I have a question about fans, fan ducts, and fan directions that I was hoping someone can shed some light on. My current setup has 1 fan in the front (Noctua 140mm PWM). There are no other fans in my entire system (passive heatsinks and pico PSU). The system is running fine, ~50C CPU and 5...

Re: quiet pc build -- advice on transporting
I've moved 4 times in the past 2 years for work and used a moving company three times to move my computer (put it in my car the other time). My computer has a Silverstone HE02 (it's gigantic) heatsink and a passive graphics card with a big heatsink in a vertical motherboard case. As you can tell, it...

I see, I didn't notice you blocked off the front at first. I might have to try that with mine! Currently I can really hear the front fan when it speeds up during gaming.

Re: One fan ITX gaming with Lian Li, G3258 & GTX 750
Very nice build! It's pretty similar to mine in a Lian Li PC-TU200. In my build I have the single fan in the front, blowing on both the cpu and gpu cooler (750 Ti w/ an S1 Plus). How does the graphics card do with no air flow? Also one suggestion is to put some electrical tape around the pico-psu wi...

Re: GTX 750Ti sips power
My EVGA base clocked 750 Ti is cooled very well with an Accelero S1 Plus. I've never seen temps above 65ºC with a single 140mm fan in my case. It's a good product consider against the mk-26, especially if you have front to back airflow like I do in my case.

Re: Lian Li PC-TU200 Silent Gamer
I'm seeking some advice now, so please chime in if you can help! I'm considering how much (if any) improvement there will be, both in sound and cooling capabilities, if I move the front fan closer to the center of the case. I can potentially dangle the fan from the top drive cage roughly 4" closer t...

Lian Li PC-TU200 Silent Gamer
Hey guys, I just wanted to share my near-silent 1 fan gaming/media PC. I originally built it a year and a half ago, and recently updated it with a new GPU and SSD. The purposee of the build is to create a computer that can play all games at decent settings while being as quiet as possible. Having 1 ...

Quiet light gaming rig
I just ordered parts for a partial rebuild of my current rig! Right now I have an AMD 5800k APU, 8 gigs of ram, pico psu 160xt with a 192 watt power brick, a 64GB SSD, and a 2.5" 1TB hard drive. After doing some PS3 gaming, I realized I simply cannot stand controllers for FPS games. GTAV is great, b...

Re: ITX HTPC/Gaming build
Hi MikeC, thank you for your insightful response. I certainly hope that the 7660 can drive QHD resolution, that would allow my build to be a lot smaller than one where I use a dedicated video card. I have read the SPCR review on the Antec ISK 100. I believe you are referring to when you guys ran the...

ITX HTPC/Gaming build
Hey guys, I'm new to the forum and I need some advice on what components to use for my planned upcoming build. Due to mobility reasons, I will be downsizing from my current full powered micro-ATX gaming rig to something a lot smaller. I am no longer in need of such a powerful computer, and I want to...
