Re: I give you the ANTEC SOLO II

I just had a new thought on this case that seems to have gone overlooked. The bottom fan slot of the case could EASILY be used for a massively deep 120mm water radiator with dual fans. Something like the Antec Khuler or the Corsair Hydro cpu coolers. Just a random thought...

Re: This may be the Holy Grail of silence

Really fun concept, buuuuut they are terribly cost prohibitive. to build a base computer with no OS or peripherals, you are looking at a 450-500 before tax, and that is with 4GB ram and 64GB SSD...... so unless you have an OS, you can spend the same money and get an ASUS AIO that is ?passively coole...

Re: Drive-bay free case (smaller more efficient, quieter)

I just had another thought on this subject, with bottom intake fans, there should be a gap, then a solid piece of aluminum that the feet then attach to, so that the bottom intake fans can get to air when the computer is placed on carpet as most computers are........ Edit: Idea came while looking at ...

Re: Crazy? or not...

I feel there is a very big piece that is being missed with this, it is not about stopping sound from penetrating that you are going to need to worry about, it is reflection. All the aforementioned materials will stop a sound through reflection. IE, the soundwaves are still alive and well, and will k...

Re: I give you the ANTEC SOLO II

So I just switched into the SOLO II...blah,blah Excellent quiet case for the money. If you usually buy quality that is... You forgot to post pics of your new build! Pics will be here next week when I get my CPU cooler back. I promise! Then all that remains is new PSU and GPU cooler, and it will be ...

Re: Drive-bay free case (smaller more efficient, quieter)

Now if you are looking for something with high airflow that doesn't have any hdd cages or opticals blocking the ideal line of airflow to your motherboard and its components, then look into the upcoming Corsair Cambridge 540 , it has a separate chamber for PSU and 2.5 hdds, while still has the 2x 5....

Re: I give you the ANTEC SOLO II

So I just switched into the SOLO II from an Antec 1100 gaming case because I am re-designing my desktop around my audio engineering work, so I thought I would write a review from my perspective because I disagree with a lot that is being said. I will start by saying I strongly believe in utility ove...

Drive-bay free case (smaller more efficient, quieter)

So I am putting final touches on my current build, and I searched high and low at no avail for a perfect case for the modern building. I am using a Revodrive for my drive, and I don't believe any machine needs internal optical drives any longer and everyone should buy one usb Blu-Ray or DVD drive th...
