Re: Ideas for Threadripper build in FT05

I chose FT05 kinda accidentally, I got it real cheap, 69€ new and I've always liked the looks of it. I like R6 Define, but it's huge.

I'm bit surprised that you didn't go with quad channel RAM since it seems to really help Threadripper, based on Phoronix benchmarks.

Re: I prefer windows 7 and office 2003

If you C2D-era CPU, you likely won't be able to boot from NVME drive, even if you put one on an adapter. SATA SSD makes more sense, do you have any SATA3-ports on motherboard?

Fractal Design Meshify C

So, "new" case from Fractal Design.

I really like the look of the front. Not sure how it performs on a silent front though, maybe nicely with some slow rpm-fans? But why, oh why, everything is glass sidepanel nowadays?

Re: A couple of cool fanless cases from Streacom

You can get LH6-kit from streacom to connect cpu to 2 sides of the cases (65W -> 110W). GPU cooling is probably harder to design due to greater variance in GPUs. Case is quite small for GPUs and their recommended PSU is quite low woltage :| I've been looking at DB4 for quite a while, will probably g...

Re: Sapphire Tri-x Fury

If you are building a hackintosh, I'd check out if Fury works with OSX at all. nVidia provides their own OSX driver for newer cards, but I believe that's not the case with AMD and I think that Apple is yet to provide built-in driver for Fiji cards (as there is no product in Apple lineup with Fiji gpu)

Re: BitFenix Pandora MicroATX Case

The Odd part of the side windows is where Bitfenix thinks you should mount your SSD, so you can show it off. This case is also available without side window, which is what I'd buy.

Re: Any news in the case market?

antiatavist: You can get it without the window.

Silverstone website lists following options:
SST-FT05B (black)
SST-FT05S (silver)
SST-FT05B-W (black + window)
SST-FT05S-W (silver + window)
