Re: Scythe + Skylake WARNING
I was told by scythe that additional testing has ruled out many of these coolers. This is the response I received from them today: "The newest intern test of our development department showed that only the Mugen 4, Mugen 4 PCGH-Edition and the Mugen Max be affected by the Skylake issue. All other of...

Re: Exhaust Fan for Fractal R5
Understood. More interested in having the best cooling and airflow setup at that point.MikeC wrote:asus strix 980ti -- you do know that as soon as a 980ti is in the system, there's simply no way to keep it quiet under load?

Re: Exhaust Fan for Fractal R5
Control. I would think the max airflow is going to be the same regardless of the connection type, just based upon the rating of the fan.

Re: Exhaust Fan for Fractal R5
I've ordered the Asus Z170 Pro Gaming board which claims 2 4-pin cpu fan headers (optional mirroring the main I assume) and 3 4-pin chassis fan headers. I'll have a 6700k slightly overclocked and a asus strix 980ti potentially overclocked in the case. I'm debating between three options, any advice o...

Re: Exhaust Fan for Fractal R5
I also recently got a new R5, and was looking to do the same by moving the rear fan to the front and replacing the exhaust. It looks like the case comes with a fan controller that can handle 3 fans. What would be the preferred scenario, plugging the third (new, exhaust) fan into the controller with...

Re: PSU Size and Selection Help Required
cooler: If you intend to overclock w/o overvolting, the Kotetsu is great. If you intend to overvolt, then the more massive Ninja 4 might be a better choice. CPU Cooler: Selected the Kotetsu after reading reviews, but if there's a better option I'm open Well SPCR reviewed the SCYTHE NINJA 4 CPU COOL...

Re: PSU Size and Selection Help Required
Thanks for the quick reply everyone! Current usage will be all over the place. Some gaming, some general desktop use, as well as some photo/video editing and media serving. Currently the only things that are already picked out are GPU (already have it) and CPU (want to play around with the new i7 sk...

PSU Size and Selection Help Required
Hello all and thanks in advance for any advice. I've been trying to read through a bunch of the stickied posts and past posts with similar veins about suggested power PSUs, but I'm still feeling slightly overwhelmed and can't quite decide what would be best. I'm in the process of selecting parts for...
