In terms of noiselessness between the MSI Ventus 3060 x2 and the MSI Gaming X 3060 is there much difference?

Re: Please, I'm asking for help for a super silent build...but with mini itx case

Looking at specification only both V1 and Core 500 don't seem that bad in terms of capacity, but I would need to check some reviews in terms of any surprises, restrictions possibly not shown in specifications or not working great in real life. Define cases just give you something extra and crucial ...

Re: Please, I'm asking for help for a super silent build...but with mini itx case

There's no problem to build tiny computer in cases you proposed, but in general building computer of such size is like doing everything to make this pc louder. E.g. tiny cooler = more noise needed to cool CPU; small GPU = more noise to cool it. Just final effect may not end up satisfying. I doubt b...

Re: Please, I'm asking for help for a super silent build...but with mini itx case

Unfortunately I know that a large case would be the ideal solution (once when I lived in the other house I had a Fractal Define 5 which at the time was recommended to me on this forum), but now due to space issues I can barely have a case the size of Thermaltake V1 or Fractal Core 500, even if the i...

Please, I'm asking for help for a super silent build...but with mini itx case

HI! I would try to make a modern gaming build but also very, very quiet. I don't want to hear the PC when it's on (although I'll be using it about 8 feet away). The problem is that for reasons of space I would need to use a mini itx case. More specifically, I thought of putting the PC here: https://...

The quietest radeon rx 580/570

Hello everyone! Although maybe not the best time to do it, I would like to sell the ps4 and buy a new video card. Surely I will take a radeon rx 580 or 570. But I ask you: which brand currently offers the quietest card? I know that up to 60 ° fans are stopped in virtually all models, but while I pla...

Very [quiet] system advice please

Hello everyone! Please ask for advice on my next setup. The most important thing is that I DO Not WANT TO HEAR THE PC WHEN IT IS TURNED ON. Consequently, the choice of the various components must first of all take into account this. I AM NOT INTERESTED TO DO OVERCLOCK. I want to assemble a pc with t...

Re: Ryzen 1700, thermal paste and Arctic 33 CPU Cooler

The four lines don't need to be thick, when the thing is mounted they each only need to be squeezed out to cover 1/4 of the base. Be very conservative with the amount of paste applied. It's a 2D picture. Those lines might be paper thin. ;) In the manual, the thermal paste on the heatsink is applied...

Re: Ryzen 1700, thermal paste and Arctic 33 CPU Cooler

Since it's a naked heatpipe cooler they want the paste to be evenly spread on all the heatpipes. Rice grain in the middle will work I'm sure. But maybe performance will be slightly better if you follow the instructions. Ok, but if I apply the quantity shown in the drawing, is not it too much and is...

Ryzen 1700, thermal paste and Arctic 33 CPU Cooler

Hi, this weekend if all is okay, I should assemble a PC with an "Arctic Freezer 33" heatsink. However, reading the assembly instructions, they say that the thermal paste must be applied as described in the following drawing: https://s15.postimg.org/7xvzajw3f/Dissi.png ... But is not too massive so ?...

I need an urgent advice for wich memory to buy

Hello!

My configuration is that:

CPU: Ryzen 1700
Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-AB350 Gaming 3

I have to buy the ram. Actually I have at home that:

Corsair CMK16GX4M2B3000C15 Vengeance LPX (2x8GB)

I am not interested to overclock.

That ram will work fine with my motherboard and CPU?

Ryzen 1700 power consumption

I looked around but I could not find any comparative. Is there anyone who can tell me if the Ryzen 1700 (NO X) consumes more, less or equal to a Intel I7 7700 (NON K)?

Both have a 65W TDP.

I would be interested to know the result in idle and at play (eg Ghost recon Wildlands).

Thanks a lot!

Re: Noctua NH L9x65 and Ryzen 1700

Based on Noctua's statements it should be OK. And as you already have the cooler why not try it and see. But there might be an issue of whether the standard slimline 14mm high 92mm PWM fan will give a reasonable balance between CPU temperatures and fan noise. If this should prove to be the case it ...

Noctua NH L9x65 and Ryzen 1700

I just bought that CPU cooler: Noctua NH L9x65 (the version of AM4 socket). http://noctua.at/en/nh-l9x65 Is that cooler ok for a Ryzen 1700 CPU? The case is a Fractal Design R5 And mostly: if I do not overclock that cooler will keep cpu temperature low and with low noise? Thanks a lot in advance!

Re: Last question before to process the order

Why the PSU should be oversized? In the end if my components consume (for example) to the maximum 250W at full load, the power supply will deliver 250W, the same thing will make even a 500W power supply, but a 650W will do "less work" and probably the fan will turn less quickly and consequently it w...

Re: Please, help me to build a very quiet PC!

Welcome to SPCR. What are your applications? Something that can make use of the i7's hyperthreading? If gaming is the primary use, then get the i5 as games don't make good use of the i7's features...and the i5 runs cooler, hence quieter. cpu cooler: The Noctua NH-D15S is a fine cooler, but a little...
