Re: Corsiar ML any good?

I got 2 ML140 as front case fans and I really like them.

They are technically louder than some other fans with the same spec, But I think they sound better. There's very little bearing noise, just noise from the fan blades.

They are kind of white noisy.

Re: TVHeadend build - PSU fan as air mover for CPU

Did that on an really old mini-ITX system. The psu fan was the only fan in the system. On some modern PSUs it's possible to set fan curves and what sensor it reads. For example on my current psu(corsair hx1000i), I can use a software called iCUE to set the psu fan speed dependent on CPU temp or othe...

Re: High Pressure 80mm fans

Well, it doubles the "theoretical" and static pressure. The pressure you actually get depend on how restictive the case(or cooler) is at different flows.

Mocked up a graph based on some Noctua graph.

Re: High Pressure 80mm fans

Couldn't find a fan. But maybe you could stack two of those Noctua fans?

It doubles the pressure(4.74 mmH2O) and you should get something like 21 dB(A).

Re: Extended rpm range with PWM+Variable voltage

It's EK-Vardar F3-120 fans.

The motherboard runs all fans at full speed for about a second during boot before they slow down. If I manually stop a fan after boot it won't start again at that low setting.

Extended rpm range with PWM+Variable voltage

A while ago I made an adapter cable where the tacho and PWM leads connects to the Cpu Fan header and the power leads("+"/"0v") connects to a normal case fan header. The Cpu header outputs a PWM signal, and the case fan header outputs a variable voltage, this controls the speed of the radiator fans(w...
