I cut off the 120mm grill and installed a 120mm Papst 4412F/2GL with rubber isolators. I wired it to a Zalman baybus. I can both control and monitor the RPM's . It works and sounds good.

here's an idea. why dont you just put your own 120mm papst fan in it and 7volt it. end of discussion. now its just as good as any other PSU with a 120mm fan in it and just as quiet if not more so. This is EXACTUALLY what I did to my noisy 400 tornado and I love the silence it affords me and my fami...

My new Boxed 3.0 did not have the HS pre attached. The HS was included but not pre-attached. This is normal for new "boxed" CPU's.

IMHO, because it vents the hot air outside the case. It most likely will lower your case & CPU temps. This is a good thing.
