How about just using some "e-tape" on the wires?

I cut off the 120mm grill and installed a 120mm Papst 4412F/2GL with rubber isolators. I wired it to a Zalman baybus. I can both control and monitor the RPM's . It works and sounds good.

I’m embarrassed to ask but just how does one “create” a bootable CD?
I have always created bootable floppies like so: FORMAT a:\ /s /u

Yes, I agree. It’s a shame that a $100 PSU requires modification to run as advertised. It should be “turn-key” solution for those “not so technically inclined”.

here's an idea. why dont you just put your own 120mm papst fan in it and 7volt it. end of discussion. now its just as good as any other PSU with a 120mm fan in it and just as quiet if not more so. This is EXACTUALLY what I did to my noisy 400 tornado and I love the silence it affords me and my fami...

The old Intel Slot 1 CPU's came with the HSF pre-attached.

Any word if the coolers they are shipping are the "rev 2"? Rumored to work with the AIW cards?

My new Boxed 3.0 did not have the HS pre attached. The HS was included but not pre-attached. This is normal for new "boxed" CPU's.

ACSVGA.
IMHO, because it vents the hot air outside the case. It most likely will lower your case & CPU temps. This is a good thing.

Now if they would only make one for the AIW.

Re: Does SLK-900U fit on D865PERL?

Just wondering if anyone here has or has seen a SLK-900U fit on a stock Intel D865PERL. The north bridge on this board looks like it's very close to the CPU. 3D-ish picture link: http://www.intel.com/design/motherbd/rl/index.htm?iid=ipp_dlc_deskmb+p4pmb_d865perl& 2D picture: http://www.intel.com/de...

Another advantage of LCD’s that is often overlooked…. Noise! Ever try to power up a 22”crt with a sleeping 3 year old in the next room? I believe some CRTs degauss <SP?> when powered up. So you tiptoe into the next room to slip in some computer time while the kid sleeps and hit the power button and ...

Warning! EluminX lighted keyboards...

Let me start by saying this is the coolest looking keyboard. Very clean and modern looking. It’s also very easy to use and quite functional. However, It “whines” like a 15k SCSI HD !!! Errr.. After spending many months and many hundreds of dollars to make my PC extremely quiet, this whine from a gor...
