OK, 180 views and no inquiries? The price must be too high. So, lower prices:

Antec SU-430 power supply: $35.00 plus shipping.

Zalman VF700-CU VGA cooler: $15.00 plus shipping. (These are still about $30.00 new...this one is like new and unused.)

No interest? Is it that the equipment is too old for this slick crowd? Or too expensive? PM me if you want.

FS: Antec SU-430, Zalman VF700-Cu

For sale: Antec SU-430 power supply. This is the power supply that comes in the Fusion and isn't available on its own. I upgraded to a different supply. This is in fine shape and has been tested as 100% working by an electrical engineer friend of mine. As you might have read, this is built for Antec...

http://www.htpcnews.com/ is back up, they were having some server issues but all is fixed now.

It's one of those websites that is interested in some similar issues to us here, and they link back to info on this one. Thought some of you might be interested.

I think the power supply in my Fusion is going

Here's my current tale of woe...troubleshooting advice welcomed! I built an HTPC with an Antec Fusion case last year, using the MSI 6150 motherboard. It's been good, but...yesterday, I bring it up out of standby and there's no picture on the TV. Hooking a monitor up (the TV is SD and has component i...

If you're not satisfied with the control over the VFD that the included drivers give you, you can use LCD Smartie to configure it. Here's info I posted on the HTPC News forum on how to configure it. (I was considering just posting a link, but having it all in one thread will be easier for people.) L...

John, I'm not sure how you'd mount the fan on the underside of the SI-120. Maybe you'd need a smaller fan (80mm?)

All you do is set up your recordings in Beyond TV, exit the Viewscape, and then put the computer into Suspend. It'll look like it's turned off. Then later, Beyond TV will wake it up, record the show, run through it looking for commercials, and put the machine back in Suspend mode. I think Windows Up...

40C is cool? Good, we'll see about taking out the CPU fan after I've been using this for a week or so and seeing how it behaves. The way Beyond TV knows how to un-suspend the machine, record the show and put it back to sleep is terrific and gets rid of one of my biggest concerns, where the machine w...

Antec Fusion notes

Today, I finished up an HTPC using the Antec Fusion with the MSI 6150 motherboard. I figured this crowd would appreciate my notes on it. You already know how effective the case is, since it's the same as the 2400, so I'll ramble on about my experiences setting it up. My objective was to make a VCR r...

Apparently Antec used Soundgraph to make their VFD. Check out this website: http://www.soundgraph.com/Eng_/main.aspx Select "Products" and "IMON" to get details. I figure the Fusion has one of the OEM VFDs in it. FYI, you can also use LCD Smartie, an open-source program, to control the di...

Thanks. That's what I'm really interested in...should I get the 2400 or the Fusion? So the questions are: How readable is the VFD from a distance? How does the VFD interface with the operating system? (I use Beyond TV, can I connect it to the VFD?) How does the volume control interface? How is the D...

Applause for Seasonic

I have a Sonata from when they were new, back when this site was new! It's had my Athlon XP system running in it for about three years. It started acting odd during bootup, crashing for no discernable reason...so it was the power supply (the one that came with the original Sonatas.) Tonight I instal...

Also, check out ATI Tool...it allows you to slow down the fan on the ATI card. Some of these fans can be noisy when running at full speed. I actually bought a Zalman heatsink for my ATI card and then never got around to installing it after finding ATI Tool. http://www.techpowerup.com/atitool/[/...

You might want to read Bruce Campbell's book, "If Chins Could Kill" which is all about his early experience on the Evil Dead movies.

Think of the business school knowledge as a tool to do whatever you want later. Just because you get that degree doesn't lock you into a specific career path.

I'm going to build an HTPC with one of the MSI 6150 motherboards, probably in the Antec Fusion (whenever it shows up.) What would be the best processor?
