huh?

Absolutely NO DATA goes over the PCI bus with an iRAM. It is a stand alone SATA-I device, it plugs into the PCI slot for a cheap mounting method AND to tie into the 5Volt Standby power source, that keeps the ram happy while you are shutdown. The PCI bus bandwidth has NOTHING what so ever to do with ...

Ill stick with my AMS CF1009, non-window case. I mod'd the front to use a single 120mm. Quality was excellent, and yes strong enough to stand on. Plenty of air flow, I have a 3rd 120mm fan inside on a Zalman bracket, blowing on my DDR/Mosfets. All 3 120mm Nexus fans running 7volts, very quiet. Loude...

The difference between 2Ghz and 2.64Ghz is enormous. And 240x10 beats 200x12 any time, at the same timings, so FSB on the ram is worth the extra effort. And to get prime/3D 24/7 stable out of BH5 5,2,2,2.0 at high FSB takes Vdimm and that means heat. Try FarCry at 1600x1200 at highest settings, 4AA ...

On the serious system end of things, where you are pushing high Vdimm into the rams, and voltmod'ing your video card..... I highly recommend a side door 120mm fan, slow speed 5-7V as an intake blowing directly on the videocard/dimms. Works wonders, was good for 15Mhz FSB increase in SuperLanboy and ...

Adusting pots?

Does anyone know if the new 500W Fotron Bluestorm has pots for adjusting the rails...3.3, 5, 12V? The nice thing about the 530W model was the seperate pots for rail adjustment.

Or is it like the Superflower 550, with no 3.3 pot, and a combined 5/12V pot?

Open the top back and fill with modder's mesh to match the vent of my SuperFlower 550W PSU in appearence. Inside a...

Heads up, I got an IOMagic 8x +/- DVD burner at Staples for $99 on sale. It turns out to be the QUIETEST CD/DVD player I have ever run across.

It's left me stunned.

You will see the 5V back to normal once you have a load on it. You need to have it connected to a system to accurately set the voltages. Once installed I had tweaked my rails by un-securing the supply, and moving it up on top of the case....all plugged in... and popped the cover. Then re-powered it,...

When I was using this PS, I cut the wires from the fan, and soldered them directly to the 5V and 12V lugs...where the wire bundles solder on...for 7V operation and it was very quiet. Fast enough to cool under load, but not full speed.

Im going to look at that SuperFlower now.

You might want to rig a small baffle seperating the exhaust fan "space" from the PSU fan. I think it is stealing air from the PSU fan. I have the same case. Wouldnt it all be easier if you just FILE'd down some of the thickness of the Panaflo's mounting-ears? From the inside, not the outside edge of course.

That way the panaflo's ear would be as thick as nirmal 25mm thick fan's is.

Sorry Badong vent duct. Just a plastic flexible air vent. I want to use the empty two 5 1/4" drive bays to form a CPU air intake duct, through a Panaflo L1A feeding into an Alpha 8045 heatsink. The cool outside air should more than make up for "blowning into" rather than "sucking out of" the Alpha.

PS mod

I took a Nexus PS, moved the guts into a Fortron body and then put the 120mm fan on the OUTSIDE of its hole instead of the INSIDE. Since the Nexus heatsinks are HUGE and no room was left inside for the fan. I used the Fortron temp circuit, just screwed it onto the Nexus heatsink and powered the fan....
