Fan Cooled radiator, stoping resonation.

Just got a watercooling kit with a 3x 360 (XSPC RS360) radiator and I already have a load of fans to try, to get the most out of my i7 without keeping me awake at night. I'm not expecting silence but the quieter the better as always I've managed to almost completely dampen the pump, mounting it on f...

I'd love to se reviews of the newer corsair PSU's the VX550 and the TX750. Being maid by another OEM their is no definative answer to exactly how quiet they are. I've witnessed 2 TX750 PSU's brought in the UK and they where both way off the 18dba upto 375watts specs on the box which is very unlike c...

Re: New Corsair 750W PSU - single 12V rail @ 60A

are you going to be running Tri SLI or something?? who needs that much power? With this PSU, you could fully load a quad core CPU and a GTX without the fan ramping up. Possibly SLI while the PSU stays @ 18dba. Right? It's not so much the total power but rather the amount of power delivered q...

I've found The DFI lanpaty or Infinity ultra NF2 boards to be excelent. Once you have installed the best bios, Mine has been much more tweekable and just as stable as my old Abit Nf2-s and it has more sata ports. Also with the added bonus that it already has a passive northbridge cooler! Like others...

I think the fan circuity has chaned and the power regulators used for the 5/12v swich arn't as good. I wish i where just that easy to get the fa...

Thanks for the thoughts guy's. I have to admit the air movement is inaudible, in fact the baring sounds are also more muted when the case is on it's side but still. Before i had a no fan on the graphic card i used to use and over all it used to sonud like a very slight movement of air took place and...

Artic vga silencer rev3, bearing noise

I'm getting rather anoying tractor like bearing noises the norm from mine on low speed. Is this normal?

It's only 2 months old.

If i remember mike said they should be virtualy inaudible on low. Mine is the loudest thing in my pc by far and i have a maxtor dm10 set to quiet seeks in their.

The only real downside this drive does get quite warm compaired to it's predecessors. though any reasonable system should be able to keep it with in operating temp specs. This may be a trouble for luminous since he is considering putting the drive in an enclosure. Do you have temp readings of this ...

I do have one. It's a decent HD that can be silent once you have figgured out how to set the Acustic management, it sounds pritty horrific like a grinder ir a garbage disposal untill you do . i did it was an old util that only work in win98 but it worked. i forget whats it's called. whatever it was ...

Yep, with both aam and suspending the drive you should get the results you want. Also just to add to my last post i found a AAM util that worked on my new sata Diamond max 10. it's called "Abacus HDD Acoustic Manager v1.2.1" but it not new ( you should be able to find it) but it doesn't work on wind...

Try this, http://maxtor.custhelp.com/cgi-bin/maxtor.cfg/php/enduser/olh_adp.php?p_faqid=1200 or try setting the aam in IBM/Hitachi's Feature Tool (v1.94) which you can get at Feature Tool (v1.94). you can make the seeks quieter but the seek performance won't be quite so good. Me I just got a bloody ...

I ask because none of the review that i've seen ,and there are many, haven't gone to the same detail as an SPCR review, though no one appears to say a bad word about it. well the vga silencer @5v still does a better job than the standard ati cooler. if i remember rightly the gpu core on the 9800 pro runs at a toasty 80°C with ati's stock cooler and is probably at a rough guess safe running upto 90 andd 100°C. GPU's are generaly more heat tollerent than current cpu's...

Re: Arctic Cooler VGA sliencer - aaaaaaaaarrrrrghhhhh!!

Got 1 of these coolers the other day and was immediately impressed until it came to fitting it. The screw holes on the heatsink don't line up with the ones on my gfx card (Powercolour ATI Radeon 9800 PRO 128mb version) making fitting it impossible. So I'm stuck with a £20 cooler that is no use to m...

My DM9+ is inaudible while idle(no whineing squealing ect). and the seeks are barly audible since i used the Maxtor AMSET utility on my drive.

The ibm tool didn't give me the option to change the acustic mode on my drive.
