dryfire...you just want a duct to concentrate the air right?

bolting an empty fan frame between the heatsink and the fan might do the trick...but i don't think this will work too well with a low flow fan though

Opinions on prime95

Recently, the upgrade bug bit me and i got a new Barton 2500+ along with an Abit NF7-S and some Buffalo pc3700 (winbond BH-5 chips). I wanted to see what the rage was about setting the fsb directly to 200mhz, reaching xp 3200+ speeds (i have an ax-7 with a 12v L1a providing cooling) however prime95 ...

i got another wd800jb to set up in SATA raid (yaya i'm a masochist ) but as soon as i picked it up i knew it was different from my old 800jb. the new drive looks totally different and is a lot lighter, furthermore, temps can be read through SMART!!! i wouldn't say it runs quieter/faster than my...

There aren't that many sites out there dedicated to "quietness" and i think buildsilentpc is one of the nicer ones, although it is directed at a more mainstream audience. The Nexus 301 is still pwm just like the 201, but allows adj...

(If it ain't broke - don't fix it !!!). Yep. But the noise coming from the psu just seems that much LOUDER  when you could do something to fix it.
