misleading linkage

The "Seagate Momentus 5400.3 ST9160821AS" is referred to as "The successor of the Momentus 5400.2", and linked to that review.

BUT

The 5400.2 is a SATA drive while the 5400.3 is NOT, nor is it available so - to my knowledge.
My inattention cost me $70 in restocking fees.

why am I confused ? this psu is 'recommended', right ? but this thread says to me that I'm a fool if I buy one and it fails - because I had prior knowledge I read the review and bought one from Directron, read this thread and canceled my order if the 'best' product has these problems, . . . . . anyo...

I would rather have ten pulses per revolution anyway. Why throw away some of the detail by only reporting every tenth pulse? If necessary this can be done at a later stage by whatever software or circuit is making use of the data. The ten pulses could be particularly useful if you're wanting to mak...

Rusty I do appreciate that this is SPCR (and a nice place it is), and I DO like the specific focus snutten however is promoting a nonsensical discourse by means of 'loose' terms and mythical values I'm just suggesting that he concentrate on the quality of his numbers, his conclusions might be differ...

whoa
did not mean that hard numbers are bad, and real #s on sound are as scarce as hen's teeth
rather that all 'fibbing' is (a strange euphemism for BS), whether temp, watts, noise, etc

snutten if you would preface your posts with this quote (from you); "who the **** cares about one or two degrees CPU temp difference???" this will enable others to understand your perspective you are on noise, that is fine - for you others are on performance, and that is fine - for them try and reme...

on promoting the exchange of real information

an outsider reading this thread would have to be amazed at the credence given to flow rates and temperatures, and the immediate skepticism with which db(A) 'values' are met the same approach is valid for all measurements; they are either actual measurements, or not -> why discuss someone's guessing ...

MCP350 / Laing DDC

a couple of notes of clarification all these pumps are made by Laing, and they are the same if the part numbers are the same this may, or not, be the case in comparing 'different' DDC pumps DD apparently elected to start selling the DDC with the RPM lead even though it outputted 10 pulses per revolu...
