One p4-m 2.4, one p4-2.6C, one p4-2.53, one dual p3-800, two AXP 2200+s, one A64 2800+, one P-M 715, one celeron 1.8, and whatever computers pass through my office as I work on them (currently one p3-1000). All pretty much 24/7. I'm tempted to add the two p2-233 laptops and one K6-2 450 laptop I hav...

Also back again. With more computers! Three p4s, 2.4-2.6, two XP2200s, one dual P3-800, one A64 2800, one P-M 7something, and one celeron 1.8. Maybe more to come as I set up a bunch of thin clients to practice on.

Just as an aside, I'm considering a DP workstation and went out and priced a Xeon, Opteron and G5 system. Hmmm...A dual xeon, eh? If Apple would hurry up with their 90nm G5, I'd see you and raise you. But until then, I guess I'm stuck with my army of little folders. Though maybe I can add a couple P4s if I get F@H working properly as a service...

Thanks Roy. I guess I'm just used to my XP 2200 and P4 2.6c, so it seems horrible :) I think I'll just leave both clients running: they'll put out WUs as they see fit, and if they're not running unusually slowly I'm happy. I just have it folding to keep it busy, as it's not under too much strain in ...

6 days for one WU?

Hey everyone. I'm trying to figure out if I have a problem, but I have no other data to compare with. I'm running linux (Mandrake 9.2 SMP kernel) on a dual P3-800 with two instances of F@H. Here are the F@H processes: 11237 ? 00:00:04 FAH4Console-Lin 11238 ? 00:00:04 FAH4Console-Lin 11239 ? 00:00:00...

Borging a mac...

Hello everyone, Latest from the front... -We have a(nother?) mac folding for SPCR now :D My friend's powerbook is putting out units for us. It's fairly quiet. And I love the screen. <tongue in cheek>I must resist the call of the dark side...At least the interface is unwieldy (for me, anyway). That m...

David, I chose the 2.6C for the 200/800 FSB. It's a very nice processor at the default settings. However, it won't OC even a single MHz: won't even POST at 201/804/2613. When I enable HT, win2k will not even get to load the desktop completely before BSODing (different errors each time 'til I gave up...

Yes, a one minute test can catch you "on a roll." My test was a 5-minute one and I hate to admit it, but I stumbled in a couple parts. 0 errors though :)
