The MUP.SYS issue has been discussed many times over. The problem is that MUP.SYS is the last successfully loaded thing until the system attempts the next driver, who's name you never see, and that is when it hangs. It is software related, but many different things have solved it for various people....

Antec NeoHE 430 - SERIAL NO. S05110048031 . And the Warranty VOID sticker is broken from the factory. I used my Dremel with the #225 Flex-Shaft Attachment and the cutting wheel to make the cuts at the ends. Then I used a #9901 Tungsten Carbide Cutter to clean out everything in between. It did a nice job and was easy to use, especially with the flexshaft.

Another vote for the Sunbeam. Cheap and excellent build quality.

Or, you can just buy one of these:

and avoid PWM altogether.

I switched from a Vantec Nexus to a Sunbeam Rheobus and have never been happier. I have two Sunbeam Rheobus units and am liking both.

You might want to keep something else in mind that I learned when researching Pots that go on the stove. That's right cookware. Many pots are designed to be concave and when they heat up, they flatten out to make a nice flat surface on the burner. I happen to have such a pot and it does indeed flatt...

The one I am looking at is an x600 Pro. It should be enough for my gaming needs but any information is useful.

Good to know that the mounts are adjustable, I hadn't realised that. I just wanted to be sure that they hadn't had to move things around on the card too much to accomadate the PCI express architecture differences, thus moving the core too much one way or the other causing the combination of the Zalm...

Quieting PCI Express Cards

I am just wondering if the PCI Express cards, specifically ATI ones, have the mounting holes around the GPU in the same positions as the ones on the AGP cards. The objective is to get something like an x600 Pro cooled by the Zalman ZM80D-HP for quiet running. I have tried finding information on it b...

I actually tried the Alpha PAL8045 without a shroud when I used to have one running on my AMD Thunderbird 1.4GHz. The temps went up a significant amount. That shroud forces the cool air to come in closer to the base of the heatsink. It is very important to have that shroud in place. A friend of mine...
