Yes, PCIe adapters do exist, here's one . But to my knowledge the S12-430 does not come with one if that's what you wondered. Thansk, that's what I thought. If I need one I'll get one. I was just caught off-guard by gOOn mistakenly stating that the "s12 430 doesnt support PCIe". Scared me for a sec...

I really like what SPCR has to say about Seasonic. The only thing is the s12 430 doesnt support PCIe. I would like to invest in a PSU that has PCIe for future upgrades. The 500w model DOES but its $130. IMO this was a major blunder on Seasonics part. Bringing a new PSU to market right now w/out PCI...

Gigabyte's Silent X800XL

PC Stats reviews the silent, fanless Gigabyte GV-RX80L256V Radeon X800XL:

It's apparently not a great overclocker, and they seriously recommend some airflow in your case. But... it's silent. This one's going at the top of my list for now.

Cheers, thanks for the info. I'm a bit out of date. ;)

The Seasonic S-12 PSUs and the newest revision of ST400, SS400 and SS460 have 24-pin ATX and SATA connectors. S-12 500W and 600W has a PCI-E connector in addition. Ah. Crap, I didn't even think of PCI-E. I was planning on getting a one of the SS 400s. So unless I get the 500W or 600W, I wouldn't be...

Antec P160 review - Tech Report

Tech Report has a favourable P160 review up today. http://www.techreport.com/reviews/2004q2/antec-p160/index.x?pg=1 There's a comparison to Antec's SX-1030 in terms of acoustics: Even when stuck under my desk with a pull-out keyboard tray between it and my ears, the SX-1030 has a constant loud droni...

I was thinking about maybe getting one of those (it does look really nice) until I found a photo of the air inlet holes. They really do look very restrictive in some of the photos I've seen. Then again, maybe I'm just a perfectionist... It took me a minute to figure it out, but I saw that the usb/p...

Hmm, never saw that one. Or maybe I did and the swirly-whirly front turned me off. ;) Well, looks good. I'll search the forums for more info on the Wave Master re: silence & cooling. Thanks! Here's a review from Dec. 8th for this black model: http://www.systemcooling.com/modules.php?name=News&file=a...

Cooler Master TAC-T01-EK

Has anyone seen this case yet? My dealer just emailed me about it. She knows I have my heart set on the Lian Li PC-6077, but this one is begging to be investigated... http://www.coolermaster.com/index.php?LT=english&Language_s=2&url_place=product&p_serial=TAC-T01-EK&other_title=+TAC-T01-EK+Wave%20Ma...

Re: !!!!!!!!

"1 available for immediate delivery" Oh believe me, I noticed that. Unfortunately I can't do anything before January. Of course it's my birthday on the 1st, so I may just have to treat myself. The problem is that I would need a new mobo... that damn Barton 2500+... memory... maybe more. Absolutely ...

Here's a new one from Tweak Town that I spotted today. http://www.tweaktown.com/document.php?dType=review&dId=575 Thanks. Talk about mailing it in! Looks like the reviewer didn't notice that the fan and hard drive cage assembly could be relocated. At least I learned that Lian-Li thumbscrews are non...

I'm sure you can find both these references via a search for "6077". The news that Lian Li is going to put out a black version is great. Makes me wonder if Antec will do the same for the P160. Now if they would just ship [/b] these puppies so that we could get some decent reviews... If they release...

Didn't someone here just bitch about the 6070? :?: Hmmm... I'll have to look that up. Thanks! I'm not sure how much the 6077 differs from to 6070 though. I was reading a tonne of lian-li reviews yesterday and they're all mangled in my brain. Got some reading to do... <EDIT: Oh yeah, now I remember ...

Lian-Li PC-6077 - Black

First of all thanks to SPCR for providing a terrific site. I've been having a blast here since I first discovered it a few weeks ago. This site has helped me in my new case decision, which started with the Sonata and is now sitting between the Antec P160 and the Lian-Li PC-6077. Which brings me to w...
