It looks like the Asrock A780GM-LE/128M or ASROCK A780LM fit the bill.

Physically small, and decent amount of power.

Overall they will not be upgraded with Video cards, or anything.

Each system will be just CPU/MB/MEM. all booting of network.

Now i just have to find availability in Poland.

Overall the chipset is not an issue, it could be as well the 780, or 785. however the bigger concern is physical size. ITX form factor is too expensive, so that is out of question. therefore if you have any ideas of a small uATX 780 board. I would welcome it. The ones listed below are approximately ...

Smallest - cheapest AMD AM2+/AM3 motherboard

Hi. I'm trying to do some research into a small cheap motherboard for AMD platforms. main keys: - cheap - 1GB nic - physically small. mATX/uATX, or mITX - True AM2+ support (dual voltage plains - Core/Memory) - some Bios undervolting options. I looked all over, (within reach of what I can purchase i...

Thanks for the replies. I to found that K10STAT seems to be quite useful. Now I'm stuck on a ASUS with 760 chipset, which also is not supported by AMD Overclock (which ticks me off as it is in he 7xx series of chipsets) still K10Stat is nice to adjust voltages and lower mutlipliers. but still AMD Ov...

Well I am wondering from a different perspective. Since we are here at the SPCR website, it would be interesting to see if this alteration has any benefits from audio and power side. Is SPCR thinking of doing their own analysis? Also last comment. Short Stroking the Velociraptor.. That would be impr...

here is a nice review of a few 1tb drives.

Performance of the WD10EADS is quite impressive for a 5900rpm drive.

With regards the bios option, i am quite aware of the hidden option. That is why i posted question about possible Beta Bios that might give lower voltages. Current bios's deliver only options to add voltage to the normal settings. such as +.025.. so it is a no go with lover then stock voltages. Henc...

I couldn't wait any longer for the passive one. So got the Asus one, The heatskink is large enough so might work passive, i'll will definately give it a try. Maybe the HIS version would be even better as it has a much larger heatsink that extends all the way to the exit vent, then positive preasure ...

With regards to the card it self. I have the 4670, sitting next to my system as there is a driver issue. :P The standard drivers 8.8 or 8.9 do not support this card at the moment, so only Manufacturers drivers should work. Problem is that I also have a 2600xt (gigabyte passive), and using the manufa...

I've seen the "nice" results. but they are trying the 125w, so that is understandable, especialy when OC'd. I was planing to slap in either the 9x50e 65 watts or 9500 95watt, and mabye undervolting them a tad more. depending on the motherboards posibilities. With general estimates sub 60watts should...

And another question. With the 690 chipset, when a non Phenom was placed, voltage in BIOS was available. The instance you placed a Phenom (in my case 9500) the ability to adjust the voltage was not available. Granted, if the AMD overdrive tool is working, then in a windows environment this is not to...

Very nice review.

I was waiting for this before I decided what MB should i use for my cluster system. This seems to be one of the most logical choices.

Question is how well would it work with a 65W phenom x4. I doubt it would be as simple as adding 20w to the figures.

@psiu that board is designed for industrial computing. Not really for desktops. @Gojira-x The first link shows a regular one. But you might be right. That will allow me to have more space in my case for other nodes. I just hope its going to be available in Europe anytime soon (and not extremely expensive)

And now to find mDTX boards in Europe ;)

That is interesting. I guess PCperspective has its facts messed up The heart of the 740G is essentially the same as the previous 690G. The X700 based integrated part is SM 2.0 compliant, and it has the newer Avivo HD/UVD portion fused onto the design. All of this is then rolled up in one 55 nm packa...

One question that sits in my mind, will the Overdrive tool even support this chipset?

Granted its a 7xx series, but its just a die shrink of the 690 + HD decoder (udv or uvd... dont' recall)
