Ok so this thread is over a year old now, is CrystalCPUID still the one to use? 2) Does anyone know if its ok with X2 cpus on an A8N32-SLI motherboard? 3) Am I right in thinking that I can have overclocked settings in the bios then run CrystalCPUID to lower it when I idle, but when I want to run a g...

That is a fantastic card - shame its performance is a little lacklustre now (no hardware T&L engine) but as a collectors piece, the v5-6 is unparalleled. (well, unless you can find a rampage board) I agree too, dont touch it- especially if you have a pukka CoA .... I take it you have the latest 3rd ...

Wow - interesting threads there mike, thanks - but tbh thats a lot of work, lol. My project is much less intensive - atm the cabinet is built except for the back panel, and just like that its doing a great job. The main aim was to cover 2 messy pcs plus yards of wires and boxes and end up looking li...

Thats the one - it looks huge compared with what is on there now (a very minimalist metal cage around a nearly dead fan)

Hi all, thanks for the replies. Im not sure id trust the sink on it alone, its a puny little silver box, nothing more, not even fins on it, thats why I thought mebee a chipset cooler or something cheap (ive got arctic epoxy already) and easy to obtain? (especially since my cool parts order of bits i...

No holes in a radeon 8500?

Now what? :( I'm getting an order ready for various silent bits for my pcs but ive a problem with an 8500 (which is on my gateway pc and very important silent cooling wise since its on in the living room 24/7). All the silent vga kits I see are for either holed 8500s or the usual 9500s and over, and...

Point 1. Im glad I saw this before trying a 7000 then getting the chipset sink later - I see that sink should go on FIRST, lol. Point 2. What on earth do you mean about saving a PCI, lolol, I can see 3 spare just in that picture - get a grip, move the usb header down and let the zm80 breathe as much...

Well after running my retail box (from Frys Seattle) Super Tornado 300 for 2 days now (at UK voltage mind) and I cannot complain at all - its as good as silent especially hearing the useless generic that I threw out. Instantly the loudest component became my cpu fan and even sticking my fingers in b...
