i voted other. i use an arc vt 60 power amp, a very good quality solid state pre amp, very good cd playback, and very good speakers.
thanks to good impedance matching between all components, and arc's
excellant tube amp design, i hear pretty much what the artist and the producer put on the cd.

i got my evercool 120's (mediums, 2000rpm @12v) from microcenter, both rigged with 3 pin connectors, but were packaged with 3 pin to 4 pin adaptors. in regards to how these mount- the evercool mounting holes line up perfectly with the stock sonata case fan mounting holes. i cut out some soft foam "g...

I second the evercool 120mm recommendation. I run mine with zalman fan mates @ 5v. they start everytime, no bearing noises, no clicking noises, just air being expelled from the case noise. at 12v they are way too loud, at 5v they are acceptable. mine are rated at 2000rpm at 12v, motherboard monitor ...

i replaced the stock antec sonata 120mm fan in two sonatas with evercool 120's(the 2000rpm@12v model). connected to fan mates, running at 5v, i'm happy with them- no odd noises. i found them at micro center. i went to ace hardware and bought some long thin machine bolts/nuts, and some small rubber g...

Do you overclock? if so, i dont think you will benefit noise wise from using a Zalman CNPS7000A-AlCu , cause you likely wont be able to undervolt the fan to 5v, which is really the only setting that could be considered quiet. the Zalman ZM80C-HP might be worthwhile as you eliminate a fan from your s...

for what its worth- i replaced two lian li models with two antec sonatas, and certainly both my systems are quieter, and reporting lower temps thru mbm. thank the pc gods for 120mm rear exhaust fans. but- installing into the sonatas was a pain in the rear. installing into the lian lis, even the smal...

i have an 120mm evercool aluminum fan , rated at 2000 rpm at 12v, mounted as rear case fan in an antec sonata. its connected to a zalman fanmate, turned all the way down. mbm says the fan is turning at 1050 rpm, more or less, and its noise level is low, no weird noises, and starts at 5v no problem. ...

I replaced the stock Sonata fan with an evercool 120mm, attached to a zalman fan mate set to lowest voltage. this evercool rated at 2000 rpm at 12v. motherboard monitor reports it turning at a constant 1000 more or less. its slightly quieter, and doesnt have any odd clicking, whining, buzzing or what...

hello, I bought a Seasonics Super Tornado 400w ps and put it my Antec Sonata. I was disappointed to discover that this unit exhibited the fan rpm increase/ decrease at fairly random moments. I've been checking mbm5, and there are no rise in temps to account for the rise/fall of rpm for the Seasonic'...
