Can a 3.0ghz P4 be kept quiet and cool?
I have been using 2ghz P4's for the last couple of computers I've built and have been able to keep them quiet and cool pretty easily. Im now trying to get a 3.0ghz for my next build and I'm wondering if I'll be able to cool it well enough and still keep a low noise level. I have been using an Alpha ...

I found that modding the Enermax turned out to be nowhere near as good as buying a Nexus power supply. In the end, after all the work- that PS mopped the floor with it right out of the box...

Has anyone seen this silent pc article yet?
Pretty interesting, but it seems a little scary to me to have nothing but the fan in the power supply handling all the airflow duties... of course, this could be old news and everyone's already doing it, but hey- im just gettin' started

Ok, im not going crazy anymore... hehe. As it turns out, the culprit was the fact that Im starting the power supply off of a motherboard that is old as the hills. When connecting it to a relatively new motherboard (which apparently has voltages that are friendlier to a new power supply), all was wel...

I've got *BIG* problems...
I got a 92mm Papst fan to replace the 92mm fan in my Enermax PS. I have completely taken out the 80mm fan (all this as per the recommendations here on the board) I had asked a couple months ago if there were any kind of modifications that needed to be done to do this or if the fan would just drop in...

Let's say I replace the 92mm fan with a Vantec Stealth- would there be anything special that I would need to do or would it be as simple as just popping one out and popping the other in? Would there be anything especially funky about removing the 80mm fan other than temps going up/airflow going down...

Replacing Enermax fans with no modifications what so ever?
Just wondering if its possible to take a quiet 80mm fan (Papst, Panaflo) and a quiet 92mm fan (Papst, Vantec) and replace the Enermax fans on an EG365P-VE(FC) with no soldering or mods of any kind without having any weird pitfalls to avoid (voltage weirdness, wrong # of pins, fans not starting up pr...
